  • To empower and enable commercial ownership of Commercial Business Unit (CBU), this position is responsible for data-driven planning process for CBU.
    The incumbent will be managing bottom-up planning tools for CBU, including COLLAB, POP & TOP, which are critical enablers for a structured, standardized and efficient planning process within each CBU.
    Scope of work includes end-to-end ownership of bottom-up planning solutions, including and not limited to forecasting algorithm enhancements, streamlined process flows, data integration, UI/UX upgrades, and consistent validation to ensure forecast accuracy.


  • The incumbent will report to Business Process Group Manager and manage external vendors, while closely with other Data & Foresight members, IT counterparts, Field marketing, Channel Planning and Sales Effectiveness team, as well as all levels of CBU organization including RSDs.





  • CBU Botton-up Planning Enablers [Design & Implementations]

    • Design and implement a streamlined planning process to connect strategic planning consolidated within COLLAB, and tactical planning via Program Optimization Planner (POP) and Territory Optimization Planner (TOP)

    • Lead the rationalization of existing bottom-up planning tools to achieve one unified solution to support CBU’s volume and budget planning processes, incorporated with approval modules to drive ownership and accountability

    • Work cross functionally to align business requirements, and manage external vendors to ensure output is aligned with expectations and committed timelines

    • Ensure implementation approaches and output is aligned with IT guidelines and policies

    • Perform data validation and end to end testing before release to end users, including necessary maintenance such user access updates, data refreshes and maintenancee.

  • CBU Bottom-up Planning Enablers [Enhancement & Optimization]

    • Develop strategy to continuously monitor tool usage and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities to maintain relevance of enablers and improve usability and/or performance

    • Such optimizations may include but not limited to planning process automation, UI/UX improvements, data algorithms enhancements, and backend processing improvements

    • Work closely within Data & Foresight team, IT team, and external vendors to manage these requirements and implement aligned optimization requirements

  • Knowledge Transfer and Business Sustainability

    • Develop strategy and capabilities to shift towards self sustainable developments in the long run to minimize reliance on external consultants / devleopers

    • Pass on knowledge and expertise within Business Process Group to ensure long term sustainability in managing requirements and implementation 

  • Business Support and Ad-Hoc Initiatives
    • Support with business requests related to business analysis, data extraction, usage tracking, etc
    • Manage administrative tasks including contract and budget management to ensure compliance with internal Legal, GIP and IT guidelines
    • Performs other necessary ad hoc tasks that may arise as part of brand / competitive dynamics in the assigned area.





  • Bachelor's degree in an  analytical field (Computer Science / Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in JTI and/or in other company (preferably within FMCG industry) within Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology or other related function
  • Hands on proven experience with implementation of commercial planning tools from start to end
  • Hands on experience with Power BI dashboards creation and SQL scripting
  • Hands on experience with PowerApps, Excel VBA, Programming languages (Python) and Azure Cloud is a plus


  • Functional Skills:
    - Project Management: proven experience with navigating uncertainties and work independently to drive project towards completion in accordance to business requirements and committed timelines
    - Business Acumen: strong ability to facilitate unstructured and unstandardized business requirements to a common agreed approach and solution that is data driven and easy to understand for end users
    - Data Management: highly confident with handling data including and not limited to data modeling, data validation and data discrepancies investigation
    - Stakeholder Management: ability to work with and facilitate discussions with cross functional stakeholders and varying cultures, tailor fitting communications to wide array of audience from the field to management team

  • Technical Skills:
    - High proficiency in Microsoft Office
    -  Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL (data extraction and scripting) and Power BI (data modeling and dax)
    - Knowledge and experience with Power Apps, Excel VBA, data management within Azure database or programming languages is a plus
