Meet Tom, who, when he's not running half marathons or spending quality time with his two daughters, leads the Legal Team at JTI Canada. Tom feels motivated by having a positive influence on the business, the challenging nature of the industry, and the the international opportuities at JTI, which have taken him from the UK to HQ in Geneva, and now Canada in his 11 years with the company. "As the Head of the Legal Team here in Canada, I get involved in the most serious regulatory challenges that we face," says Tom, "It's important, particularly in a market like this, which is so highly regulated, that legal plays a central role in all of the strategic decisions that the business makes. We look for the opportunities, we look to accellerate growth, but we also, of course, look to make sure that everything we do is fully compliant." At JTI, we know all about the challenges of working for the tobacco industry, and we see them as an opportunity — an opportunity to grow, research, and innovate to consistently provide our customers with the best products.
