Project Engineering Manager

 

 

The Project Engineering Manager leads Supply Chain transformation projects focused on Central Warehouse operations, capital investments, and infrastructure improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for managing engineering projects from planning and design through execution and completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to business requirements.

Acting as the project owner, the role partners with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, manage CAPEX investments, and support the long-term development of Supply Chain capabilities.

 

As a Project Engineering Manager, you will:

• Lead end-to-end engineering and warehouse transformation projects, including scope definition, design, execution, and implementation.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, cash flow, and resources to ensure successful project delivery. 

• Develop engineering plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project reports to support infrastructure and warehouse improvement initiatives.

• Serve as the project owner throughout the tender process, including contractor selection, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and project governance. 

• Oversee consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed according to quality, safety, and performance standards.

• Provide technical expertise and support in resolving engineering, operational, and project-related challenges. 

• Review engineering proposals, designs, and development plans to ensure alignment with project objectives and company standards.

• Drive future CAPEX planning by identifying improvement opportunities and partnering with business stakeholders to develop project portfolios.

• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, company policies, and project management best practices.

 

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering Project Management, Plant Engineering, or related roles.

• Proven experience managing capital projects, infrastructure developments, construction projects, or facility improvement initiatives. 

• Strong project management, planning, and stakeholder management skills. 

• Experience managing project budgets, cash flow planning, and CAPEX investments. 

• Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. 

• Proficiency in MS Office applications; SAP knowledge (MM and O2C) is an advantage. 

• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, warehousing, or tobacco industries is an advantage.
