The role is responsible for recording customer transactions in SAP, including payments received from all customers and the Direct Sales Operations channel, using the appropriate customer codes. The Specialist will help ensure compliance with Credit & Collection, PFC/AML policies, and Operating Guidelines, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. The role will also manage Customer Accounts Receivable and AR reconciliation activities within the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring these are performed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with JTI policies and procedures. In addition, the Specialist will support SAP testing activities and perform J-SOX controls as required.

As the Credit and Collections Specialist in the area of Order to Cash, you will be doing the following:

1.) Processing of Credit and Collections Transactions: You will be responsible for processing Credit & Collection transactions and supporting key daily activities, including submitting MyRequest templates for Customer Receipts, AR Clearings, Sundry Invoices and Credit Notes, reviewing customer payment proposal reports, and processing Bad Debts Write-offs. You will also monitor and review sales orders on hold, assess customer credit risk, track and manage customer inquiries, and investigate and resolve Credit & Collection-related issues. As part of your monthly responsibilities, you will ensure that all received documents are properly validated and processed within the required month-end closing timelines, while also completing all related month-end closing activities accurately and on time.

2.) Control and Compliance: You will help ensure compliance with Global Operating Guidelines, policies, and procedures by following applicable Corporate policies and procedures, GBS procedures, and internal guidelines, while also supporting entities in adhering to Corporate and GBS requirements. As part of your responsibilities, you will execute and provide appropriate evidence for JSOX controls where you are identified as the control owner in the JSOX GRM. You will ensure that these controls are completed accurately and on time, in full compliance with JSOX GRM requirements and in line with internal and external audit standards.

3.) Analytics, Reporting and Process Improvement: You will prepare routine reports and analyses, ensuring they are high-quality, accurate, and delivered on time, as well as support additional reporting requests from the Team Lead when required. You will also continuously review current processes and monitor performance against monthly KPIs and performance metrics to help identify potential areas for improvement. Where opportunities are identified, you will collaborate with the Team Lead to discuss and explore ways to improve processes, efficiency, and overall performance.

4.) TeamSupport and Projects: You will provide assistance and support to the Team Lead to help ensure the team’s objectives and targets are achieved. You will also collaborate with and support other AR Specialists to foster strong teamwork, particularly in document processing and resolving AR-related issues. Where required, you will participate in and contribute to cross-functional activities across GBS, as well as support relevant Corporate and GBS projects and initiatives.

5.) Entity Support: You will demonstrate a commitment to service excellence and a customer-focused approach by ensuring timely communication and resolution of queries and issues. You will provide effective support to Entities by developing a strong understanding of their business and operational needs, enabling you to provide relevant advice and solutions on AR-related matters.
