Location: Lilongwe

Reporting to: Leaf Processing Director

Role: Permanent

Purpose

This position is responsible for leading the implementation, management and performance of leaf processing shift plans by modelling a positive culture to achieve key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the processing plan is executed and the specified processing targets (safety, quality, yield, productivity) are met in every shift.
• Enforcing contamination elimination and NTRM prevention measures.
• Ensuring that processes for tobacco accountability and traceability are fully carried out.
• Maintain a work environment that prioritizes personal health and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in of Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in tobacco processing industry.
• Good knowledge of tobacco packing specifications, machine configuration and settings
• Excellent leadership, planning, prioritization skills and analytical skills.
