Duty Post: Malavar, Batangas

Energy and Utility Automation Engineer

Operation and maintenance of automated systems under Utility section, including but not limited to coordination with key support on software. Lead project implementation for projects related to assigned systems. Support Robustification implementation.

 

Operation and Management

Responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of:

a. Building management system

b. KNX Control system connected to lighting, window blinds, perimeter lights and fan coil units

c. Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS)

d. Public Address (PA) System

 

Roles:

Executes electrical and electronic activities on-site as directed including:

a. Checks, analyses, and troubleshoots various electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical system for correct operation; prepares scope of work.

b. Performs investigations, prepares special project reports with instrumentation and process control equipment, system control, or operational problems.

c. Adjusts, verifies, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records in relation to equipment performance.

d. Permitting compliance with safety requirements and liaison and coordination with other Departments, as required.

e. Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution. Reports resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework or deferred maintenance as required; also keeping all tasks & activities logged and up-dated.

f. Prepares records and reports on a daily and weekly manner. Maintains logs and reading, as necessary.

h. Supervises onsite contractor work execution for projects related to assigned systems

i. Monitors and understands Building Management System warnings and protocol and must be able to make quick analysis and response.

j. Ensure relevant spare parts availability for scheduled and projected jobs and preliminary liaison with warehouse department, procurement and supplier/vendor.                                                                                                 

 

Reporting & Documentation:

a. Maintain update and organize documentation to keep record not limited to trends, supplier performance, and analysis.

b. Ensure documentation are aligned on IMS standards.                                                        

 

Project Management:

a. Manage projects related to assigned system from design conceptualization, scope of work preparation, sourcing, installation and commissioning.

b. Prepare and maintain contract for vendor working on the assigned systems                                

 

Coordination & Communication:

• Assist on equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and identification of appropriate solution.

• Liaise with & assist other Engineering Departments as required.                                                

 

Safety and Improvement

• Involved in project improvement requiring support in building management system and other related activity

• Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.

• Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.

 

Position Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering/Technology, Instrumentation and Control Engineering/Technology or any related  course.                                
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in similar position or at least 5 years' experience in construction industry supervising BMS, Automation, or Electrical installation and coordination.                                                
  • English, both written and spoken.                                                                
  • Knowledgeable SAP EAM, ERF (or any related system)
