Communications Associate

 

In coordination with Corporate Affairs & Communications Director, cross-functional teams and global team, the Communications Associate will be accountable for and champion elevating effectiveness of the following agendas:

  • Communications: to design and deliver breakthrough internal and external communications strategy/campaign focusing enhancement of corporate reputation, employees engagement, behavioral changes as well as supporting policy advocacy agenda. Also, keep employees up to speed and proud of internal and external environment including global campaign. and policies;
  • Community Investment (CI): initiate and implement feasible and meaningful CI activities participated/recognized by employees and stakeholders including but not limited to policy makers;
  • Others: Manage and track performance as well as Return on Investment: ROI of communication and Community Investment campaigns/activities.

 

As a Communications Associate, you will also be responsible for the following:

  • Corporate Communications (Internal):
    • Develop, deliver and manage communications strategy, plan and KPIs that enable positive contributions to objectives and goals of the Thailand, regional and global markets in the means that comply with the corporate policy, Code of Conduct and Thai laws.
    • Identify communication resources needed and ensure maximum utilities and returns of usage. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Thailand and global, to ensure an alignment of objectives and consistency of messages communicated to employees or internal customers.
    • Support cross-functional teams (HQ/Regional and market) to develop, maintain, and drive progress on integrated communication.
  • Communication and Media Engagement:
    • Work in partnership with Director and Manager to develop an impactful media campaign and lead an execution of impactful media campaign to win policy advocacy, gain public sentiment as well as supports from policy makers and stakeholders.
    • Prompt for proactive communications in case of crisis and/or any reputation risks circumstance by aligned with the company's crisis management guidelines, policies, Director and the executive committee.
    • Engage and appropriately leverage meaningful relationships with media to enhance policy advocacy and corporate reputation.
    • Develop a strong pipeline of proactive and breakthrough narratives communicated through the right channel at the right time to support business performance, policy advocacy and corporate reputation.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Proactively, thoroughly, and systematically develop and/or maintain relationships with relevant media, both local and international, to ensure timely and quality coverage of key initiatives and messages and to enhance and safeguard corporate' reputation and interests.
    • Build and manage relationships with key media players, including KOLs i.e. technocrat, policy makers, to secure and grow impactful, media online and offline coverage by taking into account of compliance to corporate policy and Code of Conduct. 
    • Ensure the performance of subcontractors and/or agencies is met specified KPIs and goals.
    • Acquire meaningful supports of cross-industry, trade associations to pursue effectiveness of communications initiatives that will maintain or elevate corporate' interests and agendas.
  • Sustainability:
    • Develop and implement Community Investment (CI) initiatives through which the company will contribute in meaningful and sustainable manner by ensuring the compliance to the law and corporate goals.
    • Align with cross-functional teams to ensure the right program is implemented at the right time to enhance the corporate' sustainability and employee agendas.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in communications or public relations as well as media engagement. Background and experience in working within MNCs and highly regulated industries is preferable. 
  • Excellent at communication. Writing and speaking Thai and English are mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in mass communication or journalism or marketing or relevant fields.
  • Experience in media relations, sustainability, reputation management, risk mitigation & crisis management
