Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager
What this position is about - Purpose:
The Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager supports business decision-making by monitoring and shaping changes in the operational, regulatory, and taxation environment to align with JTI's mission and goals. The role also involves building and maintaining JTI's reputation through effective networking, engagement and representation
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Shaping and implementing the regulatory strategy, participating in regulatory and legislative processes at the national and EU level
- Developing and implementing of JTI taxation strategies and tools, with focus on excise tax
- Active monitoring of the external environment and informing about changes relevant to JTI Poland
- Cooperating with identified external partners to promote JTI Poland’s positions on legislative issues
- Preparing JTI Poland’s submissions on relevant regulatory proposals and coordinating advocacy actions
- Creating and implementing of the Anti-Illegal Trade strategy of JTI Poland through relations with state services and external experts and close cooperation with AITO department
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with identified JTI partners in industry, business and NGOs
- Developing of a network of contacts to promote the reputation of JTI Poland and to support the implementation of business and regulatory objectives of the company
- Supporting of the superior in media engagement
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- Completed studies in the field of public relations, political science, law, social communication, philology
- At least 5 years of experience in similar positions in the tobacco industry, public administration, public affairs agency or FMCG
- Experience in other areas related to products subject to excise duty, regulatory issues or PR will be an advantage
- Fluent English and Polish is a must, knowledge of any other language would be a plus
- Very good understanding of the legislative process
- Strong presentation skills, fluency in communication, and the ability to clearly convey and present one’s thought are highly valued
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- You are a networker with strong communication and diplomacy skills
- You are an open-minded, empathetic person with a drive to find solutions
