SRA Safety Data Sheets Manager

 

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose: 

 

The SRA SDS Manager is responsible for the authoring and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazard labels for JT group materials and relevant products in accordance with EU CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) and UN GHS (United Nations Global Harmonized System) criteria and adherence to JTI's standard applications. Additionally, the manager oversees identifying new materials classified as hazardous for transport and maintains Dangerous Goods (DG) attributes for JT Group materials.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

 

  • Authoring SDS and Labels: Create and assist in the creation of SDS and labels for JT Group materials and products in multiple languages, ensuring compliance with legal requirements (e.g., EU CLP - EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging and UN GHS - United Nations Global Harmonized System criteria) and adhering to JTIs processes and best practices and ensure appropriate documentation thereof.

  • Monitoring Dangerous Goods: Track new materials for Dangerous Goods classification, collect required data, and update Dangerous Goods attributes in SAP.

  • Data Analysis and Automation: Analyze and consolidate data from various systems and develop automation solutions. 

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

 

  • Higher University degree in chemical/biological sciences.

  • Knowledge of EU CLP, GHS (EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging and United Nations Global Harmonized System) and the authoring of EU CLP/GHS compliant SDS.

  • Knowledge of tobacco products and manufacturing processes is a plus.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet timelines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with internal and external stakeholders, and ability to work in a remote team.

  • Strong skills in problem-solving and attention to detail.

  • High level of English proficiency a must (other languages a bonus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP environments.

  • Experience in VBA, Power BI, or similar tools for automation solutions and data consolidation are a plus.
