Operational Data Specialist

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose: 
Operational Data Stewards are delegated and empowered by Data Stewards for the execution of business activities on their behalf. They are skilled and trained on business and data processes related to the data entities they are designated to. Operational Data Stewards examine data and care for its accuracy and consistency. This key role in Data Governance works together with Data Stewards to ensure the integrity of our data so that it remains clean for consumption and effective decision-making.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

  • Data Governance: Critical data assets monitoring, ensuring compliance with data governance framework policies (ownership, quality & data classification).
  • Data Quality: Creation of Data Quality rules, following definition by Data Stewards; Monitoring and proactive remediation within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Data Maintenance Processes: CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for agreed master data entities
  • Relations: Escalates to: Data Owner Contact and Data Managers; Coordinates with: Data Stewards ensuring data issue resolution
  • Improvements: To raise improvement initiatives in case of process inefficiencies; participate actively in process improvement projects and initiatives.

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

  • University Degree ( a Plus if in Accounting/Finance/Logistics)
  • 2 years or more in Material Master Data
  • Fluent English (B2)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency;
  • ERP system Knowledge (SAP Fiori is a must)
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Capability to adapt to dynamic and fast changing environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure and against challenging deadlines;
  • Positive attitude towards repetitive tasks;
  • Ability to absorb knowledge quickly (Fast learner);
  • Excellent communication skills; Team oriented;
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and other departments inside and outside GBS;
  • Team oriented;
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload;
  • Ability to identify and raise potential risks;
