New Product Development Specialist

Position:

 

As Marketing & Sales (M&S) NPD Specialist, S/he will be responsible for planning and management of NPD projects following the company policy, annual plan (A&SP) and requirements of markets assigned, considering local legal regulations with the aim to ensure the advancement of JTI product in the market. The incumbent, working very closely with brand managers and Portfolio Coordinators, will be primarily responsible for managing product changes, new formats, Limited Edition Pack and New Product Development introductions. In addition, the role holder will be the contact person for R&D, Global supply chain and Marketing & Sales ensuring all product and packaging initiatives are executed with excellence and on time.

 

As the NPD Specialist, you will:

  • Execute of NPD projects related to product and/or packaging within PLM system
  • Coordinate project in collaboration with different stakeholders at all sourcing locations
  • Track progress of the projects and providing project’s status to the Line Manager and Market
  • Prepare of preliminary info required for Project Initiation
  • Organize and leading projects’ kick-off meetings under the responsibility of Project Manager role
  • Manage the end to end New Product Development process ensuring timely execution of all projects
  • Track project timelines against plan and ensuring that key stakeholders are aware of any delays and issues
  • Take responsibility for PLM related questions and providing support to the markets assigned with PLM related issues
  • Organize and leading projects' kick-off meetings under the responsibility of Project Manager role
  • Track information on lead-times for different steps of the process: coordination of layouts development & approval process within AMS (artwork), SKU readiness, toolling availability, NTMs (non tobacco materials) delivery and other project related questions
  • Look for opportunities to optimize product cost and rationalize
  • Prepare of presentations' and minutes' drafts for NPD meetings .Track and ensure updates to NPD related data - Product Specifications file, Bar-codes, Blends and NTMs cost, etc.

 

Within 6 months you will:

 

  • Become independent projects coordinator for dedicated market
  • Equipped with full knowlegde to support team members in all daily NPD tasks

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor/University Degree in Economics, Technology, Statistics or Finance
  • Good Sales & Marketing background would be a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in FMCG in New Product Development, Marketing or project management roles, with proven track record in cross-functional projects
  • Good interpersonal and project management skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to translate messages into written language 
  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken)
  • Presentation Skills
  • Proficient MS Office (Excel and PPT)
  • Power BI (Developer Background) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) are nice to have
