GSC Finance Manager

Short Term Assignment (approx. 24 months)


Position purpose:


The position is established to administrate all aspects of JTI Standard Product cost and manage all interactions with GSC Factories and Markets in this area.
The incumbent is also responsible for supporting the management and improvement of the GSC Finance Systems landscape.



What will you do - responsibilities: 


  • Product cost Oversight and Compliance:
    Assist in coordinating Product Cost planning process within GSC Finance, factories, and cross-functional teams;
    Support the validation of Standard Product Cost for new SKXs emerging throughout the year within specific areas outside of AP scope (LVMC)
    Back up the execution of J-SOX Controls related to SKU Product Cost and Cost of Goods Sold (PC26, SC01);
    Assist in following up on errors or issues related to control execution with factory finance teams;
  • Planned COGS analysis and reporting: 
    Perform tasks as per internal task distribution list related to the consolidation, analysis, and control of JTI Product costs globally during ME closing, LE, and Annual/Strategic planning cycles;
    Support timely cost checks for important VMC planning activities (LE/ASP, Directional VMC);
    Assist in the checks of Central Variance allocations and release of Directional VMCs to markets worldwide based on available assumptions;
    Contribute to the rollout of Standard Product Cost (VMCs) to markets during ASP time (CRO), assisting in process coordination, basic cost validation, providing training materials and offering promt support to factories;
    Serve as a Single Point of Contact for market-related inquiries regarding VMC;
    Contribute to Product Cost Accounting procedure relevance ensuring periodic reviews and alignment with Corporate Accounting, GSC Finance, JTI SA Finance, and Financial Controls Group as required;
  • Cost estimates:
    Calculate Product cost estimates for new product introductions and product upgrades (Quick VMC). 
    Ensure estimations are provided to Markets in a timely and accurate manner for both pre-PLM Quick VMC inquiries and PLM projects.
    Facilitate basic analysis and contribute insights for improving the cost estimation process;
    Provide guidance and necessary support on Quick VMC processes to NPD and market representatives.
  • GSC Projects:
    Oversee the business aspect of financial systems and processes developments, improvements or change projects within GSC Finance. Act as a liaison between GSC Finance and the GSC BTS team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout project execution.
  • Actively participate in improvement and optimization of the financial data analysis and reporting within GSC.



Who we are looking for - requirements:


  • University degree in Economics or Finance (ACCA /CIMA professional qualification will be a plus);
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in international company; 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, any other languages as a plus;
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, Profound knowledge of software applications, mainly SAP, BW and MS Excel
