Global Compensation Manager

 

 

 

What this position is about:

 

The Global Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies and programs that align with the company's global business objectives and talent strategies. This role involves analyzing market data, overseeing salary structures, managing global compensation projects, ensuring compliance, providing training, support and advice to People & Culture community with regards to compensation and contributing into the development of Global Compensation strategy.

 

 

What will you do:

 

Global Compensation Process Management

  • Leads and manages Corporate Compensation programs and related activities throughout JTI: paylines, annual salary review, Corporate PSIP, LTIP, ESPP; SAA;
  • Access all compensation processes following JSOX controls and keep evidence of the controls for audit. Monitors global compensation trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive;
  • Conducts regular analysis of compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement;
  • Acts as functional owner of global compensation platform;
  • Supports new markets integration processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Training

  • Works closely with P&C and other stakeholders to understand compensation needs and challenges;
  • Provides guidance and support to P&C on compensation-related matters;
  • Develops and delivers training programs for managers and P&C on compensation practices, programs and processes.
  • Communicate compensation strategies and changes in a clear and effective manner.

Vendor Management

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the Compensation Data Providers, ESPP custodian to ensure effective collaboration and communication. Ensure that vendors have the expertise and capabilities to meet the company's compensation needs;
  • Conducts regular reviews and assessments of vendor performance, providing feedback and addressing any issues or concerns promptly;
  • Coordinates activities with Data Providers and JTI's local Rewards managers; 
  • Represents JTI at compensation forums and networks.

Project Management

  • Lead and manage global compensation projects, such as market surveys, compensation planning tools, and system implementations;
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed to support compensation initiatives.

People management (if applicable)

  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.

 

 

Who are we looking for:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Further training in compensation systems (professional certification is an advantage).
  • 3+ years in compensation management. Cross-functional, global or multinational context experience (both developed and emerging markets) is an advantage.
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • Experience with base pay management; benchmarking & surveying; job evaluation; paylines; pay structures; iIncentives; variable pay; total rewards
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in compensation analysis and modeling
  • Communication & influencing skills;
  • Business acumen;
  • Systems knowledge;
  • Training design & delivery; Customer Service
