Corporate Tax  Accounting Manager

 

 

 

What this position is about:

 

The incumbent is a key member of the Corporate Accounting (CA) team that prepares JTI consolidated IFRS reporting.  The primary objective and responsibility of this position is to produce high quality, timely IFRS financial tax accounting & reporting for JTI and JT (parent company) management.

This role offers professional development opportunities and would suit a motivated and committed individual willing to progress  with Corporate Accounting or other Finance departments within JTI.

 

 

What will you do:

 

  • Contribute to the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reporting process
  • Support the excise tax review process
  • Participate in the organization of tax accounting training 
  • Manage JSOX compliance for assigned controls
  • Handle other ad-hoc projects

 

 

Who are we looking for:

 

  • University Degree in Finance
  • Chartered / certified accountant
  • Qualified with a public accounting firm, preferably big four (3-5 years experience) or other accounting firm of similar size
  • Experience in a consolidation/reporting function is an asset
  • Experience with  tax accounting is an asset
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) is a must
  • Ability to analytically review accounting system data (SAP is preferable)
  • Financial accounting experience (IFRS or US GAAP knowledge is preferable)
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at a minimum), advanced level (basic knowledge of macros is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Stress resistant, calm under pressure, team player and positive attitude
  • Open-minded, willing to work and interact with colleagues from different horizon
