Activation Manager, Mongolia
The Activation Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the employer's marketing programs in Mongolia, increasing the market share of the employer's products, and monitoring the implementation of the sales plan for the employer's products in Mongolia.
Position:
As the Activation Manager in the Marketing department in Mongolia, you will be responsible for:
1. Project and activation management:
- Collaborate with the Market Manager and Portfolio Management team to ensure strong marketing support for the company’s brands.
- Implement consumer activation concepts in accordance with local legislation and the company's strategy.
- Oversee consumer activation projects, including:
- Designing, adapting, and improving program mechanics.
- Monitoring compliance with laws, company policies, and budget use.
- Auditing activities and ensuring timely achievement of project goals.
- Execute activities to promote brands within trade channels.
- Participate in the development of plans and strategies for brand promotion.
2. Planning and execution of marketing activities:
- Develop and oversee the execution of brand launch support plans with suppliers and the 1-2-1 team.
- Design mechanics and logistics for marketing activities.
- Implement and manage a range of marketing activities across consumer and trade channels, including:
- 1-2-1 activities across various channels.
- Sales-driving activities in retail and merchandising setups.
- Information-sharing sessions led by sales representatives to retail personnel.
- Continuously analyze and monitor the effectiveness of marketing activities, adjusting as needed.
- Oversee the development and testing of print advertising materials.
- Ensure smooth cooperation with the 1-2-1 team and external agencies, following the approved plans and budgets.
- Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and proposing optimizations.
- Track consumer behavior, competitor actions, and innovations, incorporating best practices as needed.
- Conduct field visits to review program performance, document insights, and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
3. 1-2-1 Team Management and Development:
- Manage the 1-2-1 team’s performance and goal achievement.
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with management to set and monitor team objectives.
4. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure that all activities and expenditures comply with company standards and legal regulations.
- Identify and communicate potential risks to the immediate supervisor.
- Work with suppliers to uphold company standards in activity execution and budgeting.
5. Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare contracts, agreements, purchase requests, and goods receipt documentation in SAP.
- Assist with translations and communications with suppliers in Mongolia as needed.
Requirements:
- University degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in the marketing department.
- Fluency in both English and Mongolian is required.
- Experience in project development, evaluation, and management of complex projects.
- Client-oriented approach, structured thinking, crisis decisiveness, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Skills in effective communication, personnel management, and team motivation.
- Understanding of the market, management, and budgeting.
