To strengthen our team in the area of the Global Engineering, we are looking for a GE Technology Excellence Manager (m/f/d) in permanent employment. 

 

Your job mission:
The incumbent will drive innovation, efficiency, safety and sustainability through a pipeline of scalable technologies that anticipate future needs and enhance our products and processes. Creating value-added global technical solutions covering end-to-end Global Supply Chain operations (from Leaf to Finished Goods Warehousing) is a key focus of the role.

Your tasks: 

  • Constantly develop and globally govern technical standards & solutions (industrial automation and control systems, robotics, base equipment setup, mechanical/electrical/software design solutions, Digital Smart Factory, infrastructure, logistics, sustainability and others) to ensure and delivery standardization globally with up-to-date technical specifications
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned technology to provide effective and qualitative support for other departments, to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement pipeline
  • Develop sustainable technical solutions in close cross-functional collaboration with Vendors and internal functions
  • Proactively scout for existing and emerging technologies to anticipate future organization needs and provide technical solutions for enhanced products and processes that satisfy internal and external customers' needs
  • Plan, execute and lead or support complex engineering projects while ensuring relevant technical standards are being considered and implemented and critical KPIs achieved
  • Support professional and IWS IM capabilities development of the engineering community across Company operations by coaching and mentoring

 

Your profile: 

  • Relevant educational background: STEM University Degree, with preference to Engineering
  • Practical experience: Solid project management experience in engineering, manufacturing or other relevant Supply Chain Organization
  • Valuable knowledge: Excellent technical skills in industrial automation and control systems, shopfloor IT, AGV/AMR and robotics
  • Special strengths: IWS or similar experience 
  • Suitable personality: Outstanding communication & analytical skills
  • Practiced working time model: flexitime
