In order to strengthen our Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Department (SRA) department based in Trier, we are looking for a Chemical Regulation Manager (m/f/d) on a temporary basis for one year during parental leave with potential extension.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify relevant emerging chemical management regulations globally and manage the implementation of appropriate processes within JTI to ensure that legal requirements are met
  • Ensure timely generation of material and substance inventories
  • Provide technical guidance on necessary developments of SRA Ingredient Databases
  • Manage supplier communications based on JTI sourcing plans and Chemical Regulation inventories to ensure adherence with evolving chemical regulation requirements and continuity in supply chain
  • Support the timely authoring and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets and provide guidance on product classification and labelling requirements
  • Monitor developments and prepare briefings for SRA Management and Legal Counsel review
  • Contribute to other projects within the wider SRA department as required


Your Profile:

  • Scientific or technical bachelor or academic degree in a scientific discipline
  • Knowledge of Chemical Management and Hazard Communication regulations
  • Experience with the implementation of chemical, technical regulations and standards
  • Additional working experience in Safety Data Sheet Management is advantageous
  • Experience in regulatory aspects of industry sectors and with cooperation’s on Industry level are a plus
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and confidence in dealing with internal & external partners
  • Capability to document and maintain internal regulatory compliance processes
  • MS Office skills are expected, SAP and sound database knowledge are desirable
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
