Position Purpose

The incumbent, works closely with the Marketing, Finance and Sales Team members to provide high quality market analysis and research studies to formulate actionable and winning portfolio, brand, trade and distribution strategies for the US market. The incumbent is responsible to provide the right analysis, reports and insights to monitor and understand the drivers of market performance.                                                                                           The incumbent will closely supervise and monitor the Agencies (e.g. MSAi, Nielsen , IRI and others) to provide accurate and business-related information on market, JTI brands, pricing, channel, consumer  trends and impact of competitive activities.                                                                                                                                                                       


  • Support all data analysis requirements to understand the market dynamics for all categories (Vape, RMC, Cigars) to identify the performance issues, trends and insights to support the management team decision making capabilities.
  • Support all data analysis and reporting requirements for Marketing and Sales Team members to build, monitor and/or track all pricing, distribution, channel programs, sales coverage, promotions, portfolio targeting and brand prioritization needs. Manage mobile metrics.
  • Support the line manager to manage all agencies to provide high quality data and reports in line with JTI USA strategic needs (MSAi, Nielsen, IRI). 
  • Support all regional and HQ reporting requirements with timely and accurate data analysis (ASP, SPC, regional templates)
  • Support the management and update of all monthly, weekly, ad-hoc reports and their formatting to ensure that SI department input reflect the changing and evolving needs of the markets. Follow up global and local trends, new data mining techniques to gather the best consumer and trade insights, update and evolve current menthods, reports, agencies as required.
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.


Functional Skills

Solid analytics background with strong proficiency in analysis with vision, large data set manipulation and consolidating multiple sources of data into coherent research results. Excellent project-management & organization skills. Strong leadership skills. Excellent computer skills & expert proficiency within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Nielsen, IRI and MSAi data a plus


Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree (required), preferable in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Marketing Fields
  • 5-7 years Strategic Insights, Research or Brand Marketing experience in FMCG 
  • Fluent in oral and written English
