Technical Services and Improvement Engineer

 

The Technical Services and Improvement Engineer (B&U) overall objective is to plan improvements, manage and maintain Factory Building & Utilities equipment while ensuring efficiency in operations & maintenance with compliance to local regulations & other requirements. The resource will provide technical supervision for the proper operation of Utilities equipment and Engineering services, according to local regulations and corporate safety standards; Initiate related improvement strategies with the use of Building Management System in our manufacturing environment in order to improve the efficiency of the Factory and define efficient standards using latest technology and incorporate into projects in the area of Building & Utilities and Energy Supply in the factory.

 

What will you do?

 

  • You will ensure the continuity supply of all media used in the factory (e.g. steam, heat, cooling, gas, compressed air, vacuum, water, wastewater and rainwater). Plan, manage, maintain and improve the factory facilities and equipment. Ensure reliable and optimum performance at minimum cost while complying to local regulations and other requirements
  • You will supervise contractors to ensure works are performed according to specifications and JTI standards. Maintain work safety of crew & contractors and assist in implementation & coordination of plant safety management
  • You will assist in the planning and implementation of Building and Facilities related CAPEX projects within specifications, budget and schedule. Provides technical support at the realization of EHS projects
  • You will be responsible for the improvement and development of efficient standards based on global and local specifications
  • Responsible for transfer for new technologies and standards to technicians in order to ensure a reliable and efficient basis for project implementations, operations and maintenance
  • Ensure the compliance and safety of all facilities works and equipment meeting local regulations and other requirements by arranging regular inspection from qualified professional or government inspectors. Maintain, support and ensure compliance to company ISO procedures (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO50001 and 45001)
  • To perform any other tasks given by the direct manager

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • A Bachelor / University Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • With at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with solid background in electrical system facilities (air conditioning, vacuum, compressed air etc.)
  • Preferably has knowledge in ISO50001, ISO9001, ISO 14001 & 45001
  • Can communicate effectively in Chinese and English languages
  • Knowledgeable in using MS Office. Knowledge in AutoCAD is an advantage
  • Amenable to work at Tainan, Taiwan
