BUSINESS PLANNING OFFICER

The Business Planning Officer supports the Taiwan domestic market's business planning function by assisting in business case simulations and scenario analysis. Key duties include leading the Marketing/OPEX budget process, ensuring accurate data for budgeting, reviewing month-end variances, and providing financial reports. The role also involves supporting SAP master data maintenance and other tasks as assigned. The officer reports to the Business Planning Manager.

As the Business Planning Officer you will: 

  • Full involvement in Marketing and OPEX budget control process:

    • Liaise with the budget owner for OL/LE/MYR and ASP budget submission; review and analyze input; discuss with budget owners for further understanding and clarification; and work closely with budget owners to align with management targets.

    • Ensure deadlines, integrity, and data accuracy, including the data loading in TM1/GPM for each planning, are met. 

    • Work closely with the Supervisor to ensure Region and Corporate reporting standards/format requirements are met and ensure changes/requirements are fully reflected in the forecast.

    • Provide monthly reports reflecting spending status, and highlight areas of concern for corrective actions.

  • Month-end actual reporting

    • Review and analyze month-end posting before the period closes to ensure all expenses for the month are collected and accrued accordingly in the appropriate GL account, if not, corrections should be raised within the month. 

    • Top-line analysis and prepare variance analysis report by total market and provide top-line commentaries for variances, in case of missing entries, JV should be raised accordingly.

    • Preparation of detailed variance analysis explanation for CFO Financial Brief.

    • Individual files with actual numbers for communication with budget owners and preparation for OL/LE cycles.

  • SAP master data:

    • Selling price condition maintenance.

    • Prepare Material Ledger Master Data details of imported products.

    • Validate Transfer Price for purchases from Entity 1359.

    • WBS setup and maintenance for Marketing and OPEX.

    • Sales Allowance (Rebate) maintenance for customers.

  • Support Business Planning process:

    • A clear understanding of JTI Operating Guidelines requirements to be able to identify a budget that may need an approved BAP/Memo in place before the spending

    • Back-up for business case simulation and scenarios analysis.

  • Others:

    • EAM system support for assets and assets plan submission including providing input for FCF planning for each submission. 

    • Fiori process support and advisory 

    • Provide Retail Selling Price as part of the monthly CFO Volume reporting.

    • Lead various tasks and projects as they arise and upon the manager’s request.

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related.
  • At least 2 years of planning and reporting experience.
  • Strong financial analysis and budget control experience is a must
  • A multinational FMCG industry background is preferred.
  • Possesses effective communication skills and ability to communicate with people of different seniority; and effective presentation skills.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and customer-oriented attitudes are required.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under tight turnaround times is important.
