Position Purpose

Performs professional field and office engineering work related to the installation of M&P equipment and implementation of M&P projects: specification, design/layout, plan, budget, project development; supervision over suppliers. He/She is also requested to support the Production Team in any engineering related topics like machine operation parameters improvement, and ensuring the achievement of higher efficiency and quality parameters of production process. He is responsible for managing all CAPEX projects in the factory.

Main Areas of Responsibility

MAKE AND PACK PROJECTS

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Discuss and align machine specifications, layout and the schedule with Global Engineering and machine supplier, support other functions to create necessary Purchase Orders, be responsible to meet the CapEx and OpEx spendings as planned, be responsible to install the equipment and meet the agreed timeline, conduct performance tests, handover the equipment to MP.
• Develops routine plans, layouts, specifications, estimations and reports specifying M&P cigarette machinery and equipment; develops engineering reports.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

• Responsible for technical support to ensure planned Production Volumes (Filters, Cigarettes, FG) in time to stock or direct to market, according to current product specifications, quality standards, Tobacco- and NTM-Yield figures and within all main KPI targets.
• Analyze machines data and co-work with other departments to achieve KPI targets.

MAINTENANCE SUPPORT

• Support the Maintenance Team for technical (mechanical & electronical) availability and operational sequences of all installed production machines and production equipment. This includes support for maintenance, communication with OEM, spare parts organization and repair activities.

COMPLIANCE

• Ensure health and safety aspects at work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep the workplace healthy and safe.
• Ensure compliance to the JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards, comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures as well as the cooperation on the continuous improvement process.
• Demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to the supervisor and carry out any measures to eliminate them.

OTHER

• Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

• Bachelor or Master degree of Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position or in project management
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Strong computer skills: MS Office, Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, AutoCad
