WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

Responsible for the development of and partnership with national key accounts to ensure JTI’s competitiveness within the channels of convenience stores, supermarkets, 3rd party e-commerce and/or specialized tobacconist. Collaborate closely with rest of Marketing & Sales to identify areas of opportunities and formulate action plans to grow channel performance.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

Channel Development:

  • Responsible in the development of national accounts within assigned channel group
  • Regular performance assessment of assigned channel, and provide recommendations and business proposals to achieve Company's goals
  • Collaborate closely with wider Marketing & Sales team in identifying growth opportunities, and develop and implement relevant channel initiatives to drive commercial delivery of accounts under the channel group

Channel Investment & Planning:

  • Plan trade investment strategy across national accounts, in line with JTI investment principles, ultimately delivering sustainable channel growth
  • Ensure profitable channel investment considering trading term investment, other contractual investment and program-related spend
  • Provide accurate and timely volume and trade spend forecast and outlook as required

Accoun Parnership & Negotiation:

  • Plan trade investment strategy across national accounts, in line with JTI investment principles, ultimately delivering sustainable channel growth
  • Ensure profitable channel investment considering trading term investment, other contractual investment and program-related spend
  • Provide accurate and timely volume and trade spend forecast and outlook as required

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience or more in FMCG marketing and sales functions, good commercial, K/A management, trade & financial planning skills.
  • With background in brand programme development, understanding of direct marketing (incl. consumer relationship marketing).
  • Good knowledge in trade marketing skills and distribution planning to increase distribution efficiency
  • Good knowledge of legislation, external relations, marketing standards in tobacco industry.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
