Intercompany Specialist - Temporary
The Intercompany Specialist is part of the global intercompany team, responsible for accurately processing intercompany vendor and customer entries for all JTI entities, performing IC reconciliations, and managing period-end close activities in line with the closing calendar. This role also includes supporting intercompany elimination checks impacting group consolidation, performing transfer price calculations and checks, and handling calculations for cross charge models.
As an Intercompany Specialist in the area of Accounting & Finance, you will be responsible for:
- Intercompany Accounting: Process Customer and Vendor documents in SAP according to policies and procedures, challenge non-compliant documents, and ensure KPI's and SLA's are met. Handle queries related to intercompany postings, prepare AR and AP reports and reconciliations, perform transfer price calculations, and manage cross charge model postings, while resolving issues with BTS/Business partners.
- Process Documentation: Support the team manager and expert on regular review and update of process documentation (user manuals and process flow).
- Continuous Improvement: Achieve targets on operational metrics and KPIs while extending knowledge of SAP, accounting/tax, and business processes to maintain professionalism. Support process improvements, analyze their impact, and collaborate closely with colleagues, while assisting the team manager and expert with user acceptance testing and projects as needed.
- Control and Compliance: Perform assigned operational controls according to internal documentation, and escalate all control failures while ensuring mitigation actions are in place for each failure.
- Business Partnering and Teamwork: Liaise with market/factory accountants and relevant departments to ensure reliable accounting information delivery. Handle ad hoc tasks from intercompany CPM, TL, and expert, assist other GBS groups, participate in local and global projects as assigned, and support or train other Accounting and Finance team members.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience in finance/accounting department or external auditing firms. Financial reporting background with IFRS or intercompany accounting is a plus.
- University degree (Accounting or Finance); A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA is desired.
- Strong and solid background on general accounting principles including but not limited to intercompany, fixed assets, inventories, receivables/payables and accruals.
- Experience in supporting internal and external audits including tax and statutory audits
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Working knowledge on Microsoft Applications.
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience in systems and shared service migration activities is a plus
