DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER

The Data Platform Engineer will implement the configuration of data ingestion processes for source aligned domains, follow best practices and development standards. You will organize processes for data management and evolution. You will build processes and tools to maintain high data availability, quality and maintainability. You will determine technical solutions that further functional specifications, keeping in mind performance, reliability, scalability, usability, security, flexibility, and cost, and follow best practices for source code control and align with DevOps platform. Lastly, you will participate along with data engineer managers in the onboarding of new projects. 

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for: 

• Development Supervision and CI/CD Management: Oversee development through UAT, manage bug fixes, rollouts, and maintain CI/CD practices for data pipelines.

• Data Pipeline Architecture and Ingestion Patterns: Establish patterns for data ingestion and transformation, ensuring optimal formats for cost efficiency.

• Infrastructure Development and Process Improvement: Develop infrastructure for big data access, provide solutions with the Data Platform Delivery Team Manager, and identify automation opportunities while maintaining documentation.

• CDLP Access and Resource Provisioning: Facilitate CDLP access for data teams across Datalake, Databricks, Azure, and DevOps; provision Azure resources; and optimize developments while staying updated on CDLP trends.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience: College or university degree with 3+ years in Data and Analytics, focusing on data flows and 3+ years delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure, particularly data services.

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Azure Data Lakes, Data Bricks, Data Factory, CI/CD practices, and Microsoft DevOps; strong skills in Azure SQL, Synapse, Powershell, and Python scripting.

• Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
