The mission of the Technical Security Centre team is to provide security expertise and best practices to other IT functions by ensuring consistent and high security standards are applied in the development and ongoing evolution of the JTI IT infrastructure and business applications. The scope includes, but is not limited to, corporate network, workstations, servers, mobile devices, business applications, unified communications, Internet and related IT services.


This position is responsible to ensure that technical security standards are defined and implemented across all IT systems to secure the integrity of JTI's Network Security landscape from internal and external threats to ensure that the entire business application/solutions within the IT Service Portfolio provide the flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements while remaining secure, manageable and cost effective, and in-line with global security strategies and standards. 


Securing the JTI Network landscape from internal and external threats will be an integral responsibility for this role. Ownership and accountability will include but is not limited to network security technologies, certificates, DNS, Internet protection solutions and cloud network and security solutions.

He/She will work closely with the other Cyber Security Managers, SOC and Global IT teams to review and build new technical solutions in accordance with the security and business requirements. The incumbent is responsible for staying abreast of evolving technology and keep management aware of new trends, technology and security industry best practices and how they could be incorporated as part of the global cyber security strategy.


He/She will also need to have a proper skills to analyze and assess the criticality and risks when dealing with security incidents and ensure follow up until final resolution using the proper escalation mechanism when relevant.


What will you do?


A. Cyber Security
1. Accountable for Network Security Architecture, defining optimal solutions to meet business requirements in line with best practices, technology developments and JTI standards within on-premise, cloud and mobile environments.
2. Responsible to identify opportunities to innovate methodology/solutions to improve the delivery of cyber security.
3. Provide expertise to the technical teams (Global and Local) for implementing and enforcing Network Security best practices.
4. Owner of the corporate network security design and related project coordination
5. Constantly strive to improve Cyber Security and IT processes & workflows to improve efficiency and delivery times. Full awareness and close follow-up on new technology and security industry trends.


B. Change / Service Request Management
1. Ensure proper technical recommendations and effort analysis are provided in a timely manner, for all change and service requests in the Network Security field assigned to Technical Security Centre team.
2. Provide technical security expertise, ensure technical solutions follow best practice & JTI standards and are implemented accordingly.
3. Research security trends and emerging technologies related to network security, identify our business and technical requirements, perform technical evaluation and support deployment of multi-regional security solutions if required. 
4. Deliver key performance indicators for Technical Security Centre activities.


C. Policies & Procedures
1. Accountable to maintain and update policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in the area of responsibility
2. Ensure policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are consistently applied in all solutions, projects and initiatives


D. Risk Control
Deliver regular and consistent input and reports to support the JTI compliance, audit and risk control teams.


E. Cooperation & Communication
Work in close cooperation with and provide necessary support to global and local IT teams (I&O, BTS) ensuring proper / frequent updates to Global/Market IT and ISRM Team Members.
Organise and coordinate workshops to promote security best practices and/or to align technology solutions


F. Operations & Incident Management
1. Ensure that security operations aspects are taken into account when designing or approving new solutions
2. Provide expertise and help on troubleshooting complex cyber security and technical incidents in the area of responsibility (i.e. network security)


Securing the JTI Network landscape from internal and external threats. 
Area of expertise (responsibility) will include, but is not limited to:

  • Network-related projects lead by NCC (Network and Communication Center);
  • Internal network infrastructure hardening (new network sites, segmentation, etc.);
  • Firewall and proxy policies – design.
  • Remote access solutions.Wireless networks.
  • PKI (Private Key Infrastructure) design (certificates):
  • General design review for internal certification authorities.
  • Full maintenance of Managed PKI (DigiCert).
  • Mail transport security.
  • Mail transport protocols implementation (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • TMES (TrendMicro Email Security) and EXO (Exchange Online) security design, together with ICS and Cyber Infrastructure Security.


NOTE: Interconnectivity within integration activities handed over to Cyber Integration Security Manager.


Who are we looking for?

  • 5-10 years experience in Network Security management, architecture and solution design

  • Experience in the IT environment of an international corporation

  • Experience in project management, solution development, risk analysis and incident management
    With, as well, technical background, structured approach, ability to work with internal and external providers, autonomous in his / her work. 

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or relevant experience

  • Sets priorities to meet objectives.

  • Knowledge of Security Management standards such as NIST, ISO

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic work environment

  • Someone who can bring fresh ideas with a self-driving attitude.

  • Fluent English written and spoken.

  • Analytical/problem solving ability
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent team player and communication skills.
