Territory Finance Specialist
The position is primarily responsible to support the Regional Finance Manager in providing financial insights and advisory through cross functional collaboration during planning, pre-implementation analysis, monitoring and post implementation analysis of Marketing Investments of his/her zone.
As the Title of the Job in the area of Department/Area, you will:
- STRATEGIC BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP / CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION (3-4 BRANCHES)
- Proactively provide financial advice and insights on investment and marketing programs related initiative, including planning of pre and post implementation KPI’s for review, analysis and deliberations.
- Coordinates with M&S team on finalization of OPB and with sales team on the commercial sense (Profit and loss analysis, Program Optimization Planner (POP)), execution, control and review of the programs.
- Engages with Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales team on the level, utilization/reallocation, replenishment, and other status on inventory of promotional/premium items within the span of territory including all channels (DP, DSO)
- Institute process for controls, mechanics and validation of marketing programs- Drives process reviews and continuous improvements
- PLANNING AND BUDGETING (3-4 BRANCHES)- Business partnering with M&S team (FMZM, TCL, Territory Development Lead (TDL)) on proposal of marketing initiatives
- Perform analytical checks on financial impact of bottoms-up marketing initiatives before endorsement to RFM.
- Build a trusted partnership with M&S team in the governance of working capital, budgets, actuals and accruals (e.g., Zone budget forecast and administration).
- Execute premium item code testing and maintenance in TME subsystem in coordination with M&S partners.
- Finance POC for Marketing promo codes testing and other needed support for M&S programs.
- Liaise with Entity Finance, BFS and Internal Control to seek alignment on controls and requirements (e.g. Credit Limit, sampling, review, etc) for M&S initiatives
- ion Purpose Full Partial Full Partial REPORTING AND ANALYSIS (3-4 BRANCHES)
- Reviews, analyzes, monitors trade investment performance and before and after sales contribution of the approved program.
- Validate accuracy of results and performance reflected in the Marketing Dashboard/ post implementation report.
- Reviews/analyze and monitors the aging and usage/utilization of premium items in collaboration with Marketing and Supply Chain Team, including instituting an inventory count in DP & DSO warehouse within the zone (3-4 branches + 1-2 DPs)
- PROJECTS / OTHER ADHOC TASK
- Lead in projects / Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the line manage
- CBU/Zone initiatives for process improvements
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or its equivalent. CPA and or MBA is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of total working experience. 3 years of experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and 2 years in supervisory role and/or 3 years in financial analysis role
- With background on budget and Analysis
- With background on inventory management
- Knowledgeable in profit and loss Statement, trends, analysis and modeling.
- With experience in compliance and presentations
- Willing to do fieldwork/ travel 50%
- Can speak both English & Tagalog. Local language/dialect on the assigned territory is an advantage

- Excellent communication and analytical skills in interpreting financial data and influence decisions
- Insightful and proactive
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient in MS Office, mainly Excel (Functions / Formula), Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent in communication (oral & written) and presentation skills
- Must be flexible, proactive, highly organized and detail oriented
- Good understanding of integrated systems (e.g., ERP). Knowledgeable in SAP is an advantage
