WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

  • The purpose of this position is to drive the Reduced-Risk Product (RRP) brands and support the launch of JTI Philippines in the emerging RRP category.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing and building the RRP brands by identifying and introducing to the market the relevant consumer propositions that will result in long-term sustainable growth.  This requires close coordination across various functional teams to ensure that brand strategies and plans are developed and executed accordingly.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champions the RRP brands by building and implementing consumer-centric propositions to enable sustained commercial success at launch and ongoing growth. This includes target consumer definition, brand positioning, pricing, launch planning, geo planning, new product development, and product pipelining / innovations.

  • Initiates and oversees the adaptation of global brand assets to the local scene based on a keen understanding of local consumer, market, and retail dynamics. This includes packaging and brand positioning localization to the consumer-relevant brand stories.

  • Monitors and reports launch and post-launch performance, KPI tracking, learn and course-correct strategies and plans.

  • Aligns the brand strategy across the organization through a pragmatic combination of long-term vision and achievement of day-to-day goals.  And ensures that all activities are aligned with the brand's essence and vision.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing / Economics / Business Admin / Management Engineering
  • At least 5+ years of experience acquired in JTI and/or in a previous company (preferably in Tobacco / FMCG / Consumer Electronics) in Marketing. With a proven track record in building and growing brands.
  • English - Advanced written and oral
  • Functional Skills
    • Strong business acumen with a start-up mindset
    • Strong experience in brand management & strategy, new product development, commercial competencies, and in-market experience
    • Strong analytical skills and comfortable navigating around numbers combined with the ability to make sound business recommendations
    • Solid communicator (able to succinctly articulate thoughts and ideas) coupled with strong interpersonal skills allowing him/her to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders
    • Proven ability in managing and working with cross-functional teams
    • Must have excellent project management skills and well-organized
    • Thinks outside the box and is unafraid to challenge the status quo
    • Passionate about understanding consumer motivations and building brands
    • Self-starter, resourceful and result-oriented
