Learning and Development Specialist
The L&D Specialist is responsible for hands-on execution of performance management cycles, leadership and managerial development programs, talent management initiatives, and training coordination. The role ensures effective delivery of development solutions that build organizational and individual capabilities aligned with GBS Manila's strategic goals.
As the Learning and Development Specialist under the are of People and Culture, you will be doing:
- Performance Management
- Lead and coordinate the annual performance review process, ensuring timely delivery of communications and guidance materials. Track completion rates, escalate non-compliance, monitor performance, facilitate PIP processes, and educate on My Growth plans.
- Leadership and Managerial Skills Development
- Implement leadership development workshops and programs aligned with global and local strategies, support skill enhancement training, facilitate learning sessions, provide logistical support, manage communications campaigns and offsite activities, and oversee providers involved in execution.
- Assessment, Learning Metrics and Reporting
- Track and report learning and development metrics, ensure programs are recorded in JTI LMS, prepare regular reports for leadership review, design and implement assessments, and coordinate leadership evaluations as needed
- Talent Management Support
- Assist in executing talent management initiatives like Growth Compass and succession planning, maintain accurate talent and development records, and collaborate with P&C BPs to prepare the annual Talent Management cycle.
- Budget Management
- Manage budget and expenses for all activities in compliance with P2P policy and JSOX controls, adhere to the budget planning cycle, and engage with third-party vendors for learning initiative support.
- Other Tasks
- Work with the Employee Experience Specialist to ensure smooth deployment of the JTI Basecamp program, collaborate with the P&C Global team to promote Gateway usage and suggest initiatives, and manage various tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Communications, Psychology, or related fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in L&D, Talent and Performance Management, Org Development, HR program execution.
- Fluency in English and Tagalog.
- Experience in L&D, training delivery, talent and performance management, assessment skills, and HR admin/generalist roles.
- Strong facilitation, coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in creating presentation materials using PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
- Advanced Excel skills (preferred).
- Analytical skills, project management, executional skills, and attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for end-to-end processes.
