Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist

The Financial Planning & Analyis team support multiple JTI markets  on various management reporting activities. These include but are not limit to preparation/computation and submission of accruals, adjustments and reclassifications, preparation of monthly reports to support variance analysis such as volume, marketing, operating expenses, performance, profitability, capex and depreciation, support the markets in the different planning cycles in a year,preparation and submission of requests for Work Breakdown Structure and Cost Center master data maintenance and other adhoc activities/ projects as needed and assigned.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

1.) Management Accounting and FP&A

 

  • Provide financial and technical support in planning / forecasting and financial performance management processes to markets in scope for GBS.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports & summaries (volume, capex and depreciation, opex, p&l, performance,profitability, T&E,ppt presentations) and others as needed)
  • Support transactional processes for the markets such as marketing accruals, reclassifications, allocations by brand family/ product type. 
  • Build, collaborate  and maintain strong business relationships within the team,  GBS Manila and other GBS teams.  

 

2.) Foundations & Stabilization

 

  • Prepare documentation on FP&A processes transferred to GBS from the markets;
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly reports for the markets
  • Support interim and annual planning cycles in JTI for the markets supported
  • Participate in process improvements/ modification / testing / process automation; 
  • Assist market with various adhoc duties
  • Support team in achieving target monthly KPI's.

 

3.) Continuous Improvement

 

  • Extend knowledge of SAP and business processes to maintain high level of professionalism;
  • Support process improvements, analyze their impact on groups activities in close collaboration with colleagues.
  • Support the team  manager and expert on user acceptance testings, as applicable.
  • Propose process improvement in the area of the responsibility

 

4.) Projects:

 

  • Support and contribute on global/ local driven projects assigned focusing on enhancements, standardization and optimation.
  • Support other projects as assigned such as automation, system enhancements and others related to scope of responsibility.

 

5.) Business Partnering and Teamwork

 

  • Build trust and camaraderie with assigned markets, Accounting & Finance team, \GBS Manila and within JTI as a whole
  • Support on activities or training other FP&A team members; 
  • Assist and provide support to other GBS groups within the area of responsibility; 
  • Handle ad hoc tasks delegated by team manager and expert.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A University degree (Accounting or Finance) holder
  • A professional qualification such as CPA, etc. is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years finance experience required preferably in a multinational FMCG company
  • FP&A experience is preferred
  • Experience in a shared service environment preferred, with experience of transitioning activities to a shared service center a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications. Knowledge of SAP, BW/BPC/Analysis and TM1 is a plus
  • Strong and solid background on finance principles including but not limited to monthly management reporting and planning and forecasting
  • Strong background on financial reporting activities particularly on financial statement preparation, accounts reconciliation and managerment reporting packages.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus 
  • Working knowledge on Microsoft Applications. Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is required. 
  • Experience in systems and shared service migration activities is a plus
  • Excellent analytical & data mining capabilities and problem solving skills
