WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:

  • Application Integration Software Engineer will be a key player in the TME (Trade Marketing Excellence) Delivery Center Integration Development team. This team is accountable to maintain the current interfaces of TME on-prem Backend, and the new real-time integrations needed to be built and maintain to respond to the new applications extending the TME (Trade Marketing Excellence) Ecosystem (i.e. Connexus, Planorama, Competitor Monitoring) and the need to interconnect data flows between them and TME Backend. Most of these new applications are cloud-based.

  • The incumbent will be responsible for different tasks in the software development cycle related to the integration area:

    • Assist the product owners in defining the business requirements in features and user stories.

    • Responsible for designing the solution in the integration area.

    • Responsible for the development (hands-on coding and/or managing development by offshore external teams)

    • Responsible for the coordination with 3rd party teams

    • Provide support and maintenance for the solutions in production (Incident Mgmt, Bug fixing & Troubleshooting)

    • Plan, define and execute the unit test, integration test, and regression test.

    • Record, track, and report integration performance and software quality metrics.

    • Collaborate in projects (integration in TME Area) being the Subject Matter Expert in integrations.

    • Support the Integration Development Team Manager in solution architecture decisions, workload estimates, and planning for the different projects including financials, team structure, and methodologies.

    • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing the documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Application Integrations Development
    • Design, implement, and maintain the new solutions in the area of integration to connect the different systems and applications in the TME program. New applications in Azure Cloud have been built to complete TME Ecosystem surrounding the TME Backend: real-time integrations based on APIs are built to interconnect data flows among them.
    • Support the Integration Development Team Manager in the definition and review of the development standards and procedures which satisfy the corporate strategy and TME business needs and are applicable to a multi-site, multinational organization. 
    • Implement and configure the tools to monitor and control the data transactions in the ecosystem. 
  • Maintenance/Support of TME Interfaces
    • Support current TME Interfaces which are used for bulk data imports and exports for the TME Backend: 
      • Timely technical support for incident analysis and triage meetings. 
      • Close collaboration with TME BTS, GTC, or 3rd party providers (Microsoft or Oracle).
      • Troubleshooting problems with existing products or systems in order to identify and resolve malfunctions.
      • Plan, design, and develop bug fixes or enhancements (coming from Business/BTS requests or technical in-housing)
  • Release Mgmt & DevOps Technical Practices
    • Support the TME Release Manager in the release planning and coordination among different teams (BTS, GTC, Markets, GSM), including bug fixing delivery status updates.
    • Design and Implement new integrations in Azure Cloud following  DevOps Practices: Version Control for all Production Artifacts, Continuous Integration, and Development, Automated Acceptance Test, Peer Review of Production Changes, Proactive Monitoring of the Production Environment.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • University, college degree or Education in computer science, information technology or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of IT experience including the multinational companies 
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL Development, Processes, Design, and Support
  • 5+ years of experience in application development (configuration, coding, deployment/release)
  • 3+ years of experience in building and implementing integrations. Experience writing and using APIs (both batch and real-time) in application integration.

    • Microsoft SSIS
    • MS SQL Tuning
    • SQL Server Stored Procedure
    • Strong foundational knowledge of software development and familiarity with various technologies, such as SQL, C#, .NET, and Java, and experience developing for Azure Cloud.
    • Experience developing and maintaining application integrations using custom-developed solutions and/or integration middleware such as Informatica Power Center, and Microsoft SSIS and experience working with interface data loads.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including the ability to present ideas in user-friendly and technical language) 
  • Experience working in a multinational environment with remote teams
  • Excellent analytical thinking and Problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail in analysis and design
  • Knowledge and experience in software life cycle process from business requirements gathering to design and coding, code verification, testing, implementation and upgrade.
  • Exposure to cloud computing and agile methodologies.
