D&IT Global Instructional Designer - Temporary (6 months)

 

As the D&IT Global Instructional Designer, you will support employee performance through the development of eLearning materials, programs and systems that are current, accurate, relevant, and effective. For 6 months, you will collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts and other collaborators to craft and release training materials for successful long-term business knowledge sustainability and user adoption of the solution. The role has a possibility to become a permanent position upon exemplary performance of the incumbent.

 

The position bears responsibility for implementing the most effective ways of learning in line with the Global Training Benchmark.

  • Designs, develops, and deploys e-learning content, computer-based training modules, job aids, and performance support materials; participates in beta testing of new courses.
  • Maintains the Learning Management System, including course uploads, learner management, user support, and reporting.
  • Collaborates on curriculum development, testing, and eLearning conversion of classroom materials; evaluates and recommends new learning technologies.
  • Provides data analytics on learner success, curriculum effectiveness, and project progress while reporting to management.

 

Functional Skills:

  • Designs and develops inclusive e-learning and blended learning programs, using instructional design principles, modern adult learning theories, and tools like SAP Enable Now, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.

  • Applies advanced technical and analytical skills, with a passion for technology, to create accessible and engaging computer-based and asynchronous training content.

  • Collaborates effectively with diverse teams, fostering an inclusive environment and demonstrating strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills while supporting DEI initiatives.

  • Embraces creativity, adaptability, and patience in crafting learning experiences that promote continuous development and equity for all learners.

 

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in training materials design or web design, preferably in a multinational environment. 

  • Demonstrated ability to break down training requests, plan and implement training documentation design, and analyze accurate training formats and delivery methods accordingly.

  • Experience in working in LMS platforms and learning design software such as SAP Enable Now/Articulate Storyline.

  • Working knowledge of the JTI organization, processes and communication networks will be a plus.
