The incumbent is responsible for helping execute and manage external and internal communications of JTI Philippines, JTI Asia Manufacturing Corp, and JTI GBS Manila. The Specialist will help produce, design, and source collaterals and craft organizational messages and JTI-branded materials as needed by the entities of JTI in the Philippines. He/she will also help manage and maintain the communication channels and update them as needed with content, and ensure its accessibility for its intended audiences. As regards external communications, the Specialist will provide strategic support in managing and implementing JTIP’s various media and public relations strategies as well as networking with external stakeholders. Further, the Specialist will also support the communications requirements of other areas such as those related to Corporate Sustainability, AIT initiatives to facilitate engagement and awareness.



  • Internal Communications

    • Help produce the local internal communication plans of JTIP, JTIAMC, and JTI GBS Manila and work closely with management to effectively cascade JTI's organizational messages 

    • Implement and cascade global corporate messages to the organization; support and execute cross-functional JTI branding and communication initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.

    • Help manage the internal communications channels of JTI including the distribution lists, business TV, Workplace, printed collaterals, and utilize these channels to communicate organizational messages

    • Support the development of content and collaterals for communication campaigns; including entity and channel-specific messages

  • Advocacy and external communications

    • The incumbent will support the preparation of materials related to external messaging, i.e., press releases, press statements, press kits, Q&A materials, brochures, flyers, and other collaterals for external use.  He or she will also support the wide dissemination of company releases in the appropriate media channels. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • The incumbent will help develop and maintain relationships with members of the media, other influencers, and key external stakeholders in government and the private sector, including non-government organizations.  He or she will create opportunities for constant engagement, and as necessary will represent the company in meetings, conferences, seminars, and other similar public fora.

  • Community Investment and Corporate Sustainability

    • Support the preparation of press releases, write-ups, articles, brochures, and other materials needed to convey the company's CI and Sustainability initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or any related course
  • At least 2-3 years experience working in a media or communications organization, PR agency, government agency or FMCG preferably handling media communications, public relations or public affairs, or internal comms
  • English and Filipino, knowledge of Japanese or Chinese is an advantage but not required. Must be adept in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.  Should be familiar with SAP.
  • Knowledgeable with various communications channels/tools.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Also familiar with local media; Has cultivated a basic network of media and government stakeholders.
  • With inter-person skills, specific knowledge of PR/Marketing, Website/SocMed.
