This position is responsible for driving business process improvements via automation of M&S planning processes to minimize manual processing and maximize efficiencies. This success of this role will be crucial in ensuring the sustainability and scalability of M&S planning tools according to business process requirements, and leverage technical expertise to support data driven insights and decision making.

He/She will support the Business Process Group Manager and work cross functionally (including external consultants) to implement enhancements and perform regular maintenance of existing M&S planning tools, including and not limited to data integration, tool functionalities upgrades, data and forecasting algorithms maintenance supported with thorough validation.



  • Development and Maintenance (M&S Planning Tools

    • Support Business Process Group to identify and outline technical implications and tasks for implementation according to business processes and requirements

    • Work closely with external consultants / developers to ensure requirements are implemented according to expectations and commited timelines

    • Ensure implementation approaches and developments are aligned with IT guidelines and policies

    • Perform data validation and functionalities testing before developments sign off and release to users

    • Perform necessary maintenance including user updates, data refreshes and dashboard and tool maintenance 

  • Backend Optimization (M&S Planning tools)

    • Identify technical improvement opportunities in backend processes to increase tool performance and usability

    • Work closely within Data & Foresight team, IT and extenral consultants / developers to implemement optimization requirements

    • Perform testing and data validation to justify improvements presented in processing time, database utilization, and/or other related indicators, and ensure generated output is in line with business expectations

  • Knowledge transfer and business sustainability

    • Develop strategy and capabilities to shift towards self sustainable developments in the long run to minimize reliance on external consultants / devleopers

    • Pass on knowledge and expertise within Business Process Group to ensure long term sustainability in managing requirements and implementation 

  • Business Support and Ad-Hoc Initiatives

    • Support with business requests related to data extraction, reports preparation and analysis

    • Support with administrative tasks including contract and budget management to ensure compliance with internal Legal, GIP and IT guidelines



  • Bachelor's degree in an  analytical field (Computer Science / Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in JTI and/or in other company (preferably within FMCG industry) within Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology or other related function
  • Hands on experience with Power BI dashboards creation and SQL scripting
  • Hands on experience with PowerApps, Excel VBA, Programming languages (Python) and Azure Cloud is a plus
  • Functional Skills:
    1) Data Management: strong experience with handling data extraction and data modeling to propose optimal data structure for M&S planning tools and ensure sustainable maintenance process in long run
    2) Project Management: ensure projects are run in accordance to the business requirements, and proactively ensuring milestone completions and raising to the project leaders potential issues that might be encountered during execution
    3) Business Acumen: ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations and potential implications on data structure and modelling, supported with structured and easy to understand findings and solutions
    4) Confident to work with people from different functions and cultures for stakeholder management and requirements alignment
    5) Superb time management and organization skills to manage multiple business requirements independently and ensure timely delivery of plans as committed

    Technical Skills:
    1) High proficiency in Microsoft Office
    2) Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL (data extraction and scripting) and Power BI (data modeling and dax)
    4) Knowledge and experience with Power Apps, Excel VBA, data management within Azure database or programming languages is a plus
