The Operational analytics specialist supports Business analytics manager to perform comprehensive analysis of multiple data sources and timely presentation of analytical findings. The incumbent works closely with other team members of SIBI, responsible for market data collection from different sources, data validation and cleansing, and interpretation raw data in reports and dashboards. Main responsibility focuses on daily maintaining, running, validating and enhancing the reporting (Power BI, SQL, Excel, Power Point) based on available data sets (both internal and external sources structured and unstructured).  




Regular reporting maintenance and enhancement
Enhance and maintain reporting system to ensure regular delivery of KPI monitoring  based on agreed schedule with high level of accuracy.


  1. Control timely and accurate refresh of manual input sources as well as planned automatic procedures
  2. Ensure the proper matching of multiple data sources
  3. Develop and schedule a validation procedures to catch outliers for further cleansing data or fix gathering data procedures
  4. Look for a ways of reporting improvement in terms timings and granularity via automatization of procedures and data normalization
  5. Support Business Analytics Manager on integration of new data sets into current reporting system in line with organization requirements


Support for regular & ad-hoc market analysis preparation

  1. Develop automation platform for quick and actionable analysis for each time milestones and self-explanatory visualization
  2. Propose most optimal data sources and direction for further investigation in line with objectives of each ad-hock analysis 
  3. Ensure comprehensive approach of each task, explore differ scenarios implementation with providing profs and cons analysis of this.
  4. Support the generation of actionable insights via accurate processing of various data sets
  5. Support each delivery with explanation summary and business recommendation based on proper analysis


Operational data ownership and support for data extraction, data cleansing and processing

  1. Act as a operational data specialist, with in-depth understanding of online & offline sales transactional data
  2. Actively collaborate with SIBI team members to support analytical needs for sales operations
  3. Build and maintain close working relationship with Commercial planning team and Digital team for sales transaction data
  4. Support stakeholders with data extraction, cleansing and processing


Basic duties as an employee

  1. Compliance to corporate policy including NDA (non-disclosure agreement)
  2. Labor duties defined by the contract, this job description, local regulations of the Company.




  • 2+ years of proven experience in Business Intelligence, Strategic Insights, Finance or any other Analytical function (preferably in FMCG industry)
  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Mathematical, Statistics, Economy) or equivalent experience
  • Strong work experience in Power BI dashboards construction and MS tools (Excel, Power Point)
  • Basic understanding of database architecture principles to build proper table relationship
  • Advanced SQL scripting
  • Programming languages (Python, R, C++ (Nice to have)
  • Knowledge/experience in Azure cloud are a plus. 
  • Experience and knowledge in tobacco industry is a plus

  2. Critical  thinking: looking for improvement of dashboards automatization, information gaps, different sources to integrate in current models / dashboards 
  3. Data Extraction & presentation: Ability to analyze and  extract ad-hoc data requirements and present statistical  information  to the stakeholders.
  4. Attention to details: looking for outliers / discrepancies, development of validation tools based on findings


Business Skills & Experiences

  1. Experience in analysis of Marketing related activities (FMCG distribution, consumer/customer programs)
  2. Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management skills: Ability to build trust and collaboration across layers & functions 
  3. Time and resource management skills: Ability to provide required time for given tasks, and to request and manage external resources when needed
