WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT?

 

The role of Business analytics manager is to support business decisions in every level of JTIP organization by providing tracking of KPIs and comprehensive visualization of insight. The incumbent works closely with BI group manager, other team in Data & foresight as well as Sales department, to ensure all relevant data is collected and analyzed from various sources and provide actionable insight to M&S and management. The incumbent of the position acts as a key point of contact from Data & foresight to stakeholders for performance tracking, dashboards and monitoring of market situation from different angles to support management decisions. Main responsibility of the role is to manage the team to ensure daily maintenance, operation, validation and improvement of reports (Power BI , Excel, Power Point).

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

Manage team for Maintenance and improvement of current operational reports/dashboard (Power BI based mostly)

 

  • Lead the enhancement of regular reports in line with business needs and changing market environment
  • Regularly revisit the business requirement, align business KPIs for monitoring with stakeholders and transform them into technical instruction for dashboard enhancement / new dashboard
  • Constantly look for data automation opportunities for efficiency and better reflection of market situation

 

 

Regular & ad-hoc market analysis to support business decision process

 

  • Weekly and monthly reporting of key market KPIs with proper granularity and actionable insights to keep management updated on key market trend
  • Explorer and utilize most optimal sources for regular & ad-hoc market analysis, including historical internal & external data
  • Ensure comprehensive approach of each task, explore differ scenarios with providing profs and cons analysis of this.
  • Present finding to stakeholders with structured explanation, visualization and clear recommendations, when required

 

 

Lead the integration of new sources of information into reporting ecosystem

 

  • Proactively look for analytical & insight opportunities from existing & new sets of data to facilitate timely actions in fast-changing market environment
  • To design the process of data gathering and validation and alignment within stakeholders
  • To align data interpretation and design visualization.
  • To consider whole reporting system to identify proper place in environment

 

 

Management of business requirement and stakeholders

 

  • Ensure the key metrics and benchmarks for KPIs are aligned with stakeholders prior to data analysis & report generation
  • Regularly collect feedbacks from stakeholders to keep the deliverables actionable and add-value to business
  • Provide summarized / detailed explanation of analysis when required for stakeholder's actions

 

 

Resource management and compliance to companies' policy and procedure

 

  • Manage the resource of the individual, team members and contractors/agency to effectively deliver the business objective
  • Manage budget in line with department & companies' process
  • Actively share knowledge with team members, peers and stakeholders via discussions, presentation and on-the-job training

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Mathematical, Statistics, Economy) or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of proven experience in Business Intelligence or Strategic Insights, Finance or any other Data Analytical function (preferably in FMCG industry).
  • Strong work experience in Power BI dashboards construction and MS tools (Excel, Power Point) SQL scripting and DAX, basic understanding of database architecture principles to build proper table relationship.
  • Experience and knowledge in tobacco industry is a plus
  • Fluent in both written & verbal English

  • Project Management skills: ensure BI projects are run in accordance to the business requirements, and proactively ensuring milestone completions and raising to the project leaders potential issues that might beencountered on execution
  • Analytical skills with business acumen and structured mindset: ability to turn big volume of data into articulated and easy-to-understand insights and business recommendations
  • Critical thinking: looking for improvement of dashboards automatization, information gaps, different sources to integrate in current models / dashboards
  • Data Extraction & presentation: Ability to analyze and extract ad-hoc data requirements and present statistical information to the stakeholders.
  • Attention to details: looking for outliers / discrepancies, development of validation tools based on findings

 

 

Business Skills & Experiences

 

  • Experience in analysis of Marketing related activities (FMCG distribution, consumer/customer programs)
  • Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management skills: Ability to build trust and collaboration across layers & functions
  • Time and resource management skills: Ability to provide required time for given tasks, and to request and manage external resources when need
