The role operates on the market side of the business and serves as the central coordinator between Sales, Marketing, Finance, the factory, and Global Supply Chain (GSC), ensuring that supply, production, and inventory plans remain fully synchronized with constantly evolving business needs.
This role drives the end‑to‑end supply planning cycle, leads a team of planners, and ensures accurate, efficient, and timely execution across systems, processes, and partners.
As a Supply Planning Manager, you will:
Drive the full supply planning process
- Own the development of multifaceted supply planning models and strategies that balance demand scenarios, inventory targets, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Analyze demand vs. supply gaps, evaluate risks, and recommend clear mitigation actions.
- Assess impacts of legislation, excise, and product/packaging changes on MRP, inventory, and overall supply continuity.
Lead cross-functional planning and coordination
- Facilitate alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and GSC to ensure supply readiness for promotions, campaigns, new launches, and market initiatives.
- Ensure production flexibility and proactively address supply disruptions through gap‑closing initiatives across the chain.
Manage and develop the Supply Planning team
- Lead a team of supply planners, driving coaching, capability building, and performance management.
- Embed process discipline, planning standards, and KPI tracking to ensure seamless execution.
Optimize inventory and reduce operational losses
- Set and recommend dynamic inventory levels for warehouses to maximize working capital.
- Minimize logistics costs by allocating stocks to the right locations.
- Prevent write‑offs by monitoring slow‑moving SKUs and coordinating move‑outs early.
- Manage tax stamp purchases in collaboration with Finance and Tax, balancing cost, regulatory timelines, and industry outlook.
Ensure data and system accuracy (SAP IBP / SAP IM & F2S)
- Oversee the full cycle of Supply Network Planning in SAP IBP, ensuring alignment with market planning cycles and GSC requirements.
- Validate open purchase orders, ensure system data accuracy, and maintain SAP entries for product set‑ups and new item introductions.
Drive continuous improvement
- Lead initiatives that enhance planning efficiency, improve working capital, and strengthen supply chain KPIs.
- Standardize and streamline planning processes to support better visibility, traceability, and decision-making.
