Modern Trade Strategy Specialist

The Modern Trade Strategy Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing JTI’s modern trade vision by delivering high‑accuracy data, investment tracking, forecasting, and performance analytics. By ensuring the integrity, timeliness, and clarity of datasets, this role empowers planning, negotiations, investment management, and business reviews with trusted insights. Beyond operational excellence, the role strengthens real‑time intelligence and embeds data‑driven decision making across modern trade initiatives, directly aligning outcomes with JTI’s strategic KPIs and long‑term growth ambitions.

Role Objective:

• Enhance reporting visibility through clear, intuitive dashboards, standardized templates, and performance trackers that drive transparency and alignment.
• Deliver actionable, data‑backed insights to strengthen strategic planning, negotiations, and budget deployment.
• Safeguard data integrity by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all datasets.
• Establish structured and automated analytics systems that are scalable, consistent, and fully aligned with JTI’s standards and governance protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Management: Gather, validate, and maintain datasets from diverse sources to ensure reliability.
• Advanced Analytics: Identify trends, patterns, and correlations that translate into meaningful business insights.
• Visualization & Reporting: Build dashboards and reports that clearly communicate performance metrics and strategic outcomes.
• Process Automation: Streamline reporting workflows and automate recurring processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Forecasting: Develop accurate volume forecasts to support planning, investment management, and performance tracking.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with business units to understand needs, align analytics with priorities, and embed data‑driven decision making across initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analytics or a comparable role.
• Proven expertise in data management and visualization, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
• Strong background in budgeting and volume forecasting to support strategic planning.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with data privacy, governance, and corporate standards.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful outcomes.
• Highly detail‑oriented and organized, capable of synthesizing and interpreting large datasets with precision.

Skills Requirements:

• Analytical & Technical Capability: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and dashboarding; skilled in managing, cleaning, and validating large datasets with high accuracy.
• Business & Functional Acumen: Ability to translate data into actionable insights; strong knowledge of FMCG/Modern Trade KPIs, investment tracking, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Behavioral Discipline: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills; adept at communicating insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
• Digital Fluency: Expertise in visualization tools, data platforms, and automation; capable of designing standardized, scalable reporting workflows that enhance efficiency and governance.
