Legal Business Partner - Manager
The Legal Business Partner Manager provides strategic and hands‑on legal support to Marketing and General Management functions, acting as a trusted legal advisor and business partner. The role supports the business during a temporary coverage period and works closely with the Legal Director, in‑house lawyers, and key functional stakeholders.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that commercial initiatives, programs, and operations are legally sound, compliant, and executed efficiently, while balancing business objectives and risk management.
As a Legal Business Partner, you will:

Act as the primary legal business partner to Marketing and selected General Management functions, providing strategic and day‑to‑day legal advice.

Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated while supporting business objectives.

Provide legal support on marketing programs, activations, and initiatives, from national to territory level, ensuring compliance from ideation to execution.

Advise business teams on applicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances, particularly in relation to commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.

Support the business on tobacco and product‑related regulatory requirements, in coordination with the Legal Director.

Oversee and support corporate housekeeping and entity reportorial requirements with government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, BOC, NTA), ensuring timely and accurate filings.

Instruct and coordinate with external legal counsel on matters affecting the business.

Support data protection initiatives by reviewing contracts and processes to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Collaborate closely with the Legal Director and in‑house Legal team to deliver responsive and business‑focused legal services.

Manage ad hoc legal matters and projects as required to support business continuity during the temporary assignment.
Requirements:

Education & Certification
- Member of the Philippine Bar
- Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree from a reputable institution
Experience
- At least 5 years of legal experience, preferably from:
- A reputable law firm with exposure to commercial, corporate, labor, litigation, or regulatory law; and/or
- An in‑house legal role supporting business or commercial functions
- Prior experience working closely with Marketing, Commercial, or General Management stakeholders is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to FMCG, highly regulated industries, or large‑scale commercial operations is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent contract drafting, review, and negotiation capability
- Sound judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
