Key Accounts Specialist

The Key Accounts Specialist is responsible for managing, supporting, and growing the company’s most important customer accounts. The role focuses on account performance tracking, coordination, execution, and relationship support, working closely with (not limited to) marketing, supply chain and Finance to ensure contractual commitments and commercial objectives are met.

 

Account Management & Client Support

  • Support assigned key accounts by ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, order fulfillment, and issue resolution.
  • Act as a primary coordination point between customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with account counterparts to support long‑term partnerships.

 

Sales & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor sales performance, targets, off‑take, and KPIs of assigned key accounts.
  • Track compliance with commercial agreements, promotions, and contract terms.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and growth opportunities within accounts and escalate insights to internal stakeholders.

 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, budget utilization and accruals.
  • Consolidate and update key account databases and documentation
  • Conduct basic market and category analysis, including competitor activity and assortment performance.

 

Commercial Execution & Coordination

  • Support execution of promotions, product launches, and in‑store activations.
  • Coordinate POSM deployment, merchandising compliance, and activation monitoring where applicable.
  • Conduct account business reviews, JBP presentations quarterly/semi-annual/annual as applicable.

 

Administrative & Process Support

  • Manage contract documentation, amendments, and internal approvals
  • Support billing, invoicing, credit, and collection processes to ensure payment compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely internal communication related to key account initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, customer service, or sales, preferably with key or strategic accounts.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/SAP tools
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under time pressure

Work Environment

The Key Accounts Specialist will work in a collaborative office setting, with occasional travel to client sites as needed. This position requires a proactive, client-focused mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
