Customer Finance Investment Specialist

 

The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic financial and analytical oversight for Marketing and Sales projects and programs within the scope of Customer Finance. The role ensures that initiatives are aligned with company objectives, governed by appropriate controls, and executed within approved budgets. Responsibilities include evaluating program profitability and ROI, monitoring expenditures through budget and actualization processes (including GR/IR reviews and monthly accruals), and supporting robust financial governance. The role also encompasses pre‑ and post‑implementation reviews to assess KPI delivery, drive efficiency, reinforce accountability, and support continuous improvement.

 

As the Customer Finance Investment Specialist, you will: 

  • Investment Planning

    • Support the development of the Program Optimization Planner (POP), ensuring initiatives are well‑planned, risk‑assessed, and supported by proper controls.
    • Conduct pre‑ and post‑program KPI reviews to assess commercial effectiveness, including ROI, volume growth, and market impact.
    • Assign and validate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for accurate budget allocation, cost tracking, and financial monitoring.
    • Partner with cross‑functional teams to monitor budgets, flag risks or variances, and provide insights to improve forecast accuracy and optimize spend.

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Review and analyze investment performance, sales contributions, and program effectiveness.
    • Monitor actual program spend using relevant tools and validate Proof of Performance (POP) to support monthly accruals and financial completeness.
    • Track and report monthly KPIs to Marketing, Sales, and Management.
    • Manage GR/IR reviews and monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial actualization.

    Business Partnership & Collaboration

    • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to align on program objectives, finalize POP, and ensure accurate financial execution.
    • Serve as a finance business partner throughout the program lifecycle, providing guidance on design, execution, and spend governance.
    • Strengthen compliance by enforcing standardized validation and approval processes and ensuring audit readiness.
    • Resolve execution and documentation gaps to support timely reporting and accurate actualization.

    Projects & Ad Hoc Tasks

    • Support other projects or tasks as assigned by the manager.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or MBA is an advantage
  • 3–5 years of experience in Commercial Finance
  • Strong background in marketing program analysis, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Solid knowledge of P&L statements, financial trends, analysis, and modeling
  • Experience in compliance, reporting, and presenting insights to stakeholders
  • Willing to do fieldwork
  • Fluent in English and Tagalog; knowledge of local dialect in the assigned territory is an advantage
  • Functional Skills: 
    • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines
    • Highly team oriented individual/ Business partnering mindset
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills in interpreting financial data and influence decisions
    • Insightful and proactive
    • Strong business acumen
    • Proficient in MS Office, mainly Excel (Functions / Formula), Outlook and Powerpoint
    • Excellent in communication (oral & written) and presentation skills
    • Must be flexible, proactive, highly organized and detail oriented
    • Good understanding of integrated systems (e.g., ERP). Knowledgeable in SAP is an advantage
