Azure Cloud Architect Manager
This role will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions that support JTI’s evolving Cloud strategy. In this role, you will focus on delivering Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) at scale, shaping hybrid datacenter architectures, and enabling seamless integration across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft HCI, and Linux/Unix environments.
As the Azure Cloud Architect Manager in the area of Data Center Technical Architecture, you will be doing the following:
1.) Cloud Strategy Execution: In this role, you will design and implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) frameworks that provision and manage infrastructure across hybrid environments. You will ensure that all solutions align with JTI’s landing zones, service catalog, and governance standards. You will also collaborate closely with Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and policy‑as‑code into deployment processes, enabling smoother automation and a more reliable experience for all teams.
2.) Architecture and Design: You will develop and maintain architecture blueprints for Public Cloud and Microsoft Azure solutions. You will translate business requirements into technical designs that meets scalability, security, and cost‑efficiency objectives.
3.) Technical Leadership: You will provide guidance on best practices for cloud adoption, automation, and operational excellence. You will conduct architectural evaluations and present recommendations and solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
4.) Operational Support and Optimization: You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure that all deployments comply with security, and observability standards.
Who are we looking for?
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in datacenter architecture and cloud engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems design and integration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Leadership and Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex initiatives to completion.
