Direct Material Purchasing Associate
What this position is about - Purpose:
The position will be a member of Manufacturing Services team and will be in charge of the following activities:
• Process material requisitions for purchasing foreign and / or local materials
• Implement internal systems relating to purchasing and material control
• Monitor Inventory levels ,timely place the requisition to maintain the materials safety stock and follow up with suppliers until receiving the materials at our plant warehouses'
• Monitor and recommend purchase/build requirements for key raw material and manufactured stock inventory items
What will you do - Responsibilities:
•Assure that the purchase process for all our factories are efficient & organized and all the materials are delivered within the requested time
• Maintain the operations flow with no interruptions.
• Effectively participate on the Annual Strategic Plan preparations
• Monitor all POs activities and maintain regular follow up with all suppliers, shipping lines & clearance agents to ensure smooth and timely finalizing of the clearance process from the customs.
• Liaise with the custom clearance agents and inland freight companies to follow up on the imported materials delivery time
• List & Review the shipping documents’ set relevant to the imported goods especially the set required by the Egyptians Customs authorities for the specific trade agreement ie. Comesa & General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (Gatt)
•Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage,
• Coordinate and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
• Establish professional relationships with all the stakeholders as well as vendors and suppliers
• Ensure all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
• Contribute to achieve the factory KPIs, support continual improvement for EHS, Energy & Quality management systems and ensure comply with code of conduct, legal & other requirements
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- University degree in Logistics, Computer & information science ,Business Administration, or any other related field
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar position
- MS Office, English language
- Sound knowledge in the international trade , Logistics, Egyptian import & customs Low
- Good knowledge of Incoterms, import requirements related to Egypt customs clearance process and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills.
- Good understanding of logistics and incoterms.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced changing environment
