Brand Associate


We are looking for a bright and ambitious person who seeks to develop themselves to become an expert in the Risk Reduced Product category and Brand Marketing. The candidate will be expected to contribute to all elements of marketing mix including commercial, brand and product strategy development and implementation, as we seek to achieve our ultimate objective of JTI RRP competitiveness and growth.

What will you do?


  • Together with the Brand Manager, work closely with local management team, Region, and Ploom Global Brand Group to align and implement a successful launch strategy, with high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Assist RRP Brand Manager in development of commercial strategy including all elements of the marketing mix to drive Ploom awareness and equity building, to deliver on JTI's ambition for growth and competitiveness in the RRP category.
  • Lead development of Ploom communication & Consumer activation strategy for Korea market to ensure execution excellence and impactful delivery of brand message in local language, while being consistent with global guidelines.
  • Responsible for development of local brand & operational guidelines for distribution to internal stakeholders. Co-ordinate launch activity and subsequent brand initiatives cross-functionally.
  • Responsible for management of local and global agencies ensuring on time delivery, and output quality consistent with contract agreements and JTI expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze industry dynamics to identify key business opportunities. Generate and share relevant reports and insights with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other assignments or special projects based on business needs. Manage pre-aligned budgets and costs as per JTI guidelines.

Who are we looking for?


  • High standard of university degree (required). MBA or equivalent educational background (beneficial, but not essential)
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing management experience in FMCG
  • Proven ability to work effectively cross-culturally and cross-functionally
  • Excellent agency handling and project management skills
  • Solid experience in strategic planning with good understanding of JTI commercial operations
  • Previous experience on new product development is beneficial but not essential
  • Highly creative with ability to think out of the box
  • Previous experience of D2C digital marketing, Communication and social media campaign development & implementation is beneficial but not essential
  • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirt and passion to succeed
  • Experience in working with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Fluent written and spoken Korean and English (required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) (required)
  • SAP and PLM system (beneficial, but not essential)
