Line Manager: Finance Controller

Finance Control Accountant (Contract)

The position is intended for the talented Financial Accountant to be part of best-in-class finance team for JTI, equipping him/her with the expertise a strategic mindset to navigate enterprise challenges and drive successful outcomes. 

This position is initially offered as a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal or potential transition to a permanent role upon successful performance.
 

S/he will play a key role in the mainstream finance control and reporting for JTI, while learning JTI's way of working and gaining experience on JTI reporting in collaboration with Global Business Service (GBS) including but not limited to:

• Review, monitor, and reconcile General Ledger (GL) transactions, ensuring accurate monthly closing, compliance with excise tax and VAT records, and acting as the central point for Finance team’s month-end closing activities.
• Coordinate fixed asset month-end closing, process asset transactions in SAP, ensure registry integrity, track CIP capitalization, and reconcile assets through biannual stock counts.

• Review and finalize financial reporting packs for monthly and quarterly Group reporting, while proactively analyzing financials and supporting the Line Manager with insights.

• Regularly review and maintain product data in SAP, coordinate updates with GBS and stakeholders, and process inter-company billing for cross charges.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve the queries.

• Support interim and annual audits by preparing trial balances, drafting financials, coordinating with auditors, and managing DART, CbCR, and JCFC reporting.

• Interact with JTI global and regional finance networks independently and manage expectations with care and professional manner. 
• Support other cross functions to understand the financial results and analysis as per business need. 
• Take active role in different finance projects/initiatives in Finance Control area. 

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree with Major in Finance and/or Accounting from renowned University in Korea or 

  • 4 years Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accounting from abroad or 

  • Candidate who graduated in other discipline but completed CAT and/or ACCA or AICPA are also welcome. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance/GL in MNC environment (preferred), where-
  • 2-3 years of overall working experience in Finance area
  • 1-2 years of working experience in audit/internal control management is a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP
• Understanding of IFRS/K-GAAP
