Entity Control & Reporting Manager
This role is designed for a highly motivated finance professional aspiring to become a future finance leader at JTI. The successful candidate will be instrumental in strengthening the business by designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring key financial control mechanisms, operational guidelines, and policies. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and global standards, this role plays a vital part in maintaining a strong and compliant financial environment.
In addition, the role will oversee statutory reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
S/he will play a critical role in financial control and reporting, gaining valuable experience in accounting, financial compliance, and audit processes of JTI while leveraging her/his prior finance experience. The position involves close collaboration with Global Business Services (GBS), the Regional Headquarters (Japan), and the Global Headquarters (Geneva).
Based at JTI Korea's Head Office in Seoul, this permanent role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to advance their career in the dynamic world of finance.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage entity reporting for JTI Korea, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements. Lead financial statement preparation in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Take ownership of the local statutory compliance and reporting deadlines. Along with this, submission of statutory reports to the local regulators (as and when required).

Implement/Review the adherence to JTI Policies and Procedures for Korea market and ensuring proper controlling mechanism on key business processes in M&S activities, Statutory compliances (CIT, Filing etc.), Financial Closing, Reporting and Control, Indirect tax, Inventory Management, Fixed Assets.

Ensure compliance environment for business by proper implementation and monitoring of

SoD (Segregation of Duties), Monitor Financial Risk and Fraud prevention

Local Operating Guidelines (OG), vis-a-vis Global OG.

External & Internal Audit Management.

Post audit follow up and roll out.

Performing J-Sox control test.

Cross functional supervisory support on financial reporting process and advise Finance Control (FC) team with various initiatives and excellence.
Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of University Degree in Accounting/Finance (Local/Foreign University)

Fellow of Accounting bodies (ACCA/AICPA/CIMA/ KICPA)- preferred (but not mandatory for senior candidates)

Minimum 8 years of functional and managerial experience in Finance in MNC environment (preferred)

Experience in financial compliance, risk management, and internal controls.

Fluency in understanding, communication and writing skills both English and Korean
-
Advanced level skills in MS Office especially in Excel & Powerpoint.

Hands on experience with SAP experience.

Good knowledge of IFRS, KFRS (K-GAAP) accounting principles

Strong knowledge of finance frameworks, statutory regulations, and reporting standards.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and drive continuous improvements in financial processes.
