Area Sales Manager (Other Focused Channels)
JTI's Global Travel Retail North Asia Region is looking for a competent and results-driven Area Sales Manager to drive the sales operations of JTI products. In this role, you will lead the business strategy in your designated channels, maximize commercial opportunities, and drive both sales and JTI SOM growth within the Travel Retail channel.
The incumbent collaborates closely with the Area Sales Manager Korea TR to oversee all aspects of territory management, build strong trade relationships, implement consumer and trade programs, develop and monitor key account plans, manage budget and P&L, drive sales forecasting and logistics coordination, and work with marketing and finance teams to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Other Focused Channels: Cruise Ships, Cargo Ships, Downtown Channel (Off-air Duty-free Stores)

Sales & Business Strategy Execution: Develop and implement key account plans, manage trade programs, oversee budget and P&L, and lead sales forecasting.

Channel & Customer Management: Build relationships with key accounts, execute channel strategies, and monitor sales KPIs to drive volume and market share growth.

Marketing & Trade Strategy Implementation: Implement trade marketing initiatives, including merchandising, shelf-space optimization, and promotional activities.

Data Gathering & Reporting: Utilize sales automation tools to track executional KPIs, analyze data, and provide actionable insights.

Customer Engagement & Business Planning: Optimize product portfolio, enhance operational efficiencies, and develop annual business plans with strategic objectives.

Regulatory & Market Awareness: Stay informed on taxation policies, market regulations, and industry trends to anticipate changes and strategize effectively.
Requirements:
- University Degree
- Must have at least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in sales and distribution, preferably in multinational FMCG companies. Travel retail experience is an advantage.
- Must be able to answer basic inquiries regarding Marketing, Finance, and Logistics.
- Must be able to manage full P&L.
- Must be willing to travel domestic/to other regions (50% of the role).
- Experience in consumer/trade promotions management is a plus.
- Cross cultural experience is an advantage.
- Fluent English and Korean is required, knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills. Results-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
