MOM Subject Matter Expert
Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) is a digital platform to support JTI factories in production execution, intralogistics, and warehouse operations. As the MOM Subject Mater Expert, you’ll play a vital role as a global team member in evaluating factory requirements, evolving the global MOM platform, as well as implementing improvements worldwide in a monthly cycle. You’ll also be responsible for deployments to new locations, provide guidance and supervision to local power users and the technical support organization.
Position:
As the MOM Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for:
- Agile Product Development: Collaborate within a global team of SME’s and with factories stakeholders, product owners, global functions, and vendors to refine product backlog (MOM), design standardized manufacturing processes, test new features and collect feedback to design.
- Platform Rollout: Drive MOM deployments at new factory locations, including requirements collection, process definitions, build new MOM configuration, perform validation, prepare user acceptance testing, provide go-live and post go-live support as well evaluate success criteria. Report progress to project lead.
- Knowledge Transfer & Support: Provide training and consultancy to power users, assist in problem-solving, and support the technical support organization.
- Documentation Maintenance: Ensure all MOM product documentation is accurate and up to date. Contribute to product documentation build as well as Knowledge Articles.
Requirements:
- University degree in a technical or scientific field (or equivalent).
- 5 years of experience in intralogistics or production, focusing on process improvement, automation, and material supply.
- Fluency in English (Japanese is a plus).
- In-depth understanding of shopfloor operations, including primary, secondary, warehouse, and related intralogistics processes.
- Familiarity with Track & Trace systems and processes.
- Proficiency in WMS, MES, SAP, and PowerBI (BPMN is a plus)
- Excellent analytical skills, abstract thinking,g and ability to design complex manufacturing process
- Familiarity with ISA 95, ISA 88, industrial control systems, MS Office, agile SCRUM. Knowledge of IWS processes (e.g. UPS) is a plus
- Willingness to travel for the role (30-50% of working time)
