 MECHANIC ELECTRONIC

Position purpose:

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all machinery and factory installations in general, in order to assure the highest level of efficiency and security.

What will you do – responsibilities:

• Conserve, repair and keep in good running order all the existing machinery in the factory and all facilities in general in order to assure optimum efficiency in production and reduce waste to the minimum.
  Give priority to those repairs which, because of their importance, could hamper the production line. 

• Responsible to work under the Kaizen philosophy and spread the continuous improvement culture to the team through the TPM's, PDCA, 5S3R and suggestion program.
  Support, review and maintain all related JTI technical projects, such us MDC, QSENS, Downtimes, LCO and others… by controlling them regularly to assure they are well configured and running correctly. Base on this, propose action plans to find improvements.

• Inform and report to the engineering manager of any breakdowns, improvements, incidents or improvisations which may be affected. Participate with the engineering manager in carrying out any project.
  Monitor all the downtimes through the MDC tool together with the Engineering department in order to improve the factory efficiency

• Record any materials and spare parts taken out of stock, entering them into the system to have a reliable inventory and to make sure the levels are correct

• Maintain a close working relationship with the production and quality teams to assure that all products meet the established specifications, regulations and quality of JTI and ISO procedures.
  Comply with established standards of "Contamination Prevention” to protect our products of any contamination and ensure that nobody can do any irregularity. 

• Control and maintain in perfect working order all tools and instruments of the department.
  Perform any other task or profesional project assigned by the supervisor/manager

  Carry out and assure the implementation of security policies in the work, related with the machinery

• EHS:
  Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.

  Develop their competency to do the work healthy and safely, participate in health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning signals, and written directions and instructions.

  Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures.

  Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.

Who are we looking for – requirements:

• Technical degree in electronics, mechatronics, industrial automation or related field.
• 2 years experience as an electronic/ mechatronic o related technician in an industrial company, preferable with experience working in shopfloor
• Mandatory fluent English & Spanish. Catalan speaker highly appreciated.
• Use of Microsoft Office tools. Basic knowledge of control systems based on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and should be able to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Team player, autonomy, creative thinking, analysis & problem solving, decision taken, communication skills, business insights
