Trade Marketing Representative 

 
 

Position: In this role, you will be responsible for driving in-store activities to increase consumer engagement with JTI products. Apply Trade Marketing Programs to achieve volume, distribution, and availability targets. You'll strategize efficient routes aligned with territory objectives and analyze data for informed decision-making. Demonstrating a 'Double Win' approach, you'll tailor proposals to meet retailer needs while ensuring JTI's success across the territory.

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Determine visit frequency based on customer prioritization plan, and arrange calls using outlet sales data.
  • Collaborate in executing outlet activities and arranging impactful visit schedules. Record results versus objectives in the system.
  • Use local insights for Cycle Plan enhancement, analyze program performance, and monitor competitor and retailer activity.
  • Present sales information, advise on tobacco category management and leverage business insights in selling.
  • Negotiate short-term sales agreements, guarantee compliance with planogram requirements, and maintain contractual standards.
  • Use advanced selling techniques aligning product benefits with customer needs.
  • Predict, handle objections, and secure commitment by emphasizing JTI proposal benefits.
  • Autonomously negotiate trade contracts for JTI's territory benefit.
  • Ensure accurate selling prices and SKU listings, manage stock placement, and educate store staff on availability importance.
  • Facilitate retailer orders and coordinate logistics when necessary.

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

 

  • Min. 2 years of demonstrated experience in FMCG sales.
  • Good computer skills, especially MS Office.
  • Commercial competence and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and selling abilities.
  • Familiarity with trade marketing systems, including reporting and data analysis.
  • A university degree would be advantageous.
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken).
