STRATEGIC INSIGHTS ANALYST

What is this role about?

JTI USA is presently seeking a Strategic Insights Analyst to join our team. This is a hybrid role to support the Strategy & Insights function via various research and data initiatives throughout the business. This role will have a Business focus, in that it will be a primary support function to help the Marketing and Sales teams and empowering them with actionable insights and data to drive decisions for their initiatives. The incumbent will provide data mining, research and analysis for the SI team through the use of data sources such as MSAi, Nielsen AOD, IRI and other such data sources - store scan and basket data to name a few. Key objectives will be focused on timeliness, accuracy, analysis and support for the Strategy and Insights Team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support Strategy & Insight's directive to provide insightful & in-depth, analysis and reporting to support strategies and initiatives.
  • Be the driving force behind all data mining, research and analysis - From conceptual thinking to hands on work.
  • Provide support on special ad-hoc projects or regular tasks across the business as requested by manager(s).

 

Within 6 months you will

  • Have a broader understanding on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics to advise long-term strategies.
  • Be able to transform raw data into clear, actionable visual stories that highlight trends, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Learn how to interpret sophisticated data and translating it into business-friendly formats to advise decision-making.

 

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree is required. 
  • 2 - 5 years of data mining, research & analysis experience primarily within Consumer Packaged Goods or FMCG marketing and sales functions. Experience with Nielsen, IRI,  MSAi data a plus.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
